Let's begin by preparing for this meditation.
Find yourself a comfortable position.
Sit or lie down in a quiet space where you won't be disturbed.
Ensure your body is in a relaxed position with your spine straight,
But not rigid.
Close your eyes gently and take a few deep breaths,
Allowing yourself,
Your body,
And your mind to relax with each exhale.
Before you begin,
Set yourself a personal intention for this meditation.
It might be to cultivate self-empowerment,
Increase compassion for yourself,
Or to let go of self-doubt.
Hold this intention in your heart as we proceed.
Let's begin the meditation with a grounding practice.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm of your inhalations and exhalations.
With each breath in,
Imagine drawing in calmness and strength.
With each breath out,
Release tension and self-doubt.
Now,
Connect with the earth.
Visualize roots extending from your body into the earth,
Grounding you firmly.
Feel the stability and support of the earth beneath you,
Providing a solid foundation for your empowerment journey.
And we will begin by cultivating compassion.
Let's embrace self-kindness.
Bring to mind a recent situation where you felt challenged or made a mistake.
Visualize yourself in that moment and silently offer words of compassion and understanding,
As you would to a dear friend.
Repeat these phrases.
I am worthy of love and understanding.
I forgive myself for my imperfections.
I am learning and growing every day.
Now,
Let's reflect on common humanity.
Remind yourself that everyone experiences struggles and setbacks.
You are not alone in your journey.
Embrace the shared human experience by repeating these phrases.
I am connected with others through our shared humanity.
I am not alone in my challenges.
Now,
Notice in your body and your mind any shifts or any sensations that arise from this part of the practice.
In the second part of the meditation,
We will do an empowerment visualization.
Picture yourself as your most empowered and confident self,
Seeing yourself moving through life with grace,
Confidence,
Purpose,
And ease.
What are you wearing?
How do you look?
What does your environment look like?
And are you doing anything in particular?
Imagine the qualities you embody.
Now,
Repeat these phrases.
I am strong and capable.
I trust myself to make decisions aligned with my values.
I have the power to create positive changes in my life.
Now,
Let's acknowledge the strengths and qualities that make you unique.
Repeat these affirmations that resonate with your sense of empowerment.
I am resilient and adaptable.
I have the courage to pursue my dreams.
I am empowered by my compassion for myself and others.
Now,
Taking a moment to feel into any sensations in the body after repeating these phrases.
And we complete the meditation by extending your compassionate empowerment to others.
Perhaps you'll focus on a particular person.
Or maybe you're going to focus on the whole world together.
As you cultivate empowerment within yourself,
Extend these feelings outward.
Visualize sending compassion and empowerment to others,
Creating a ripple effect of positive energy.
Repeat these phrases.
