Welcome to 5 minutes of magic.
This is your time,
Your space,
Your moment to come home to yourself.
Settle into your body,
Wherever you are.
Let your eyes close.
Take a breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let your forehead soften.
Breathe in again,
And on the exhale,
Let your jaw release.
Let your mouth fall slightly open,
If that feels right.
One more breath,
And this time,
Let your chest soften.
Let your heart space open,
Just a little,
Just enough.
There's something you have been carrying,
A moment,
A choice,
A version of yourself you haven't quite forgiven yet.
You don't need to name it out loud,
But feel it,
That quiet heaviness that sits just beneath the surface.
The voice that says,
You should have known better,
You should have done better.
And now,
Gently,
I want to offer you something different.
That version of you,
The one you've been judging,
Was doing the best they could with what they had,
With what they knew,
With what they were carrying at the time.
They were not broken,
They were human.
Imagine now that you are sitting across from that earlier version of yourself.
Look at them,
Really look.
See the fear they were holding,
The love they were reaching for,
The wounds they hadn't yet healed.
And from where you sit now,
With everything you've grown through,
Place your hand on your heart and say,
Silently or aloud,
I see you,
I understand,
And I forgive you.
Feel that land in your body,
Feel what begins to loosen.
You're not the sum of your worst moments,
You're the one who kept going,
Who kept trying,
Who showed up even when it was hard.
That is not someone who deserves punishment,
That is someone who deserves grace.
And grace begins here,
With you,
For you.
I am not my past.
I am the wisdom it gave me.
I release the weight of who I was.
I welcome who I am becoming.
I am worthy of my own forgiveness.
I am free.
Wrap your arms around yourself,
A gentle self-embrace,
Or simply keep one hand resting on your heart.
Feel your own warmth beneath your hands.
Breathing compassion,
And breathe out judgment.
One final time.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Carry the softness with you today,
Especially toward yourself.
You just gave yourself one of the greatest gifts.
This is your magic.
