Given the title, what I liked most about the piece was that it had an atmospheric depth and moodiness to it (helped along by the synths), which was a refreshing variation on what many others may have composed—something obviously bright and sunny and overtly,
on-the-nose hopeful-sounding. This was a more challenging route to take, and I appreciate the sensibilities and choices involved to get the listener into this realm.
