Namaste and welcome to this sacred space.

Today we enter the stillness of meditation in the presence of Lord Shiva,

The Adiyogi,

The meditating one,

The transformer of all that no longer serves.

Find a comfortable seated position or lying down if you'd prefer.

Let your spine be tall and straight.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.

Again deep breath in.

Hold and release.

One more deep inhale and a full exhale.

Let yourself arrive here.

Allow your breath to soften.

Let go of any tension in your face,

Your shoulders,

And your jaw.

Let the breath guide you inward to the stillness,

The silence within.

Now bring to mind the image of Lord Shiva,

Seated in deep meditation,

Calm,

Unmoving,

Surrounded by the snowy peaks of the Himalayas.

His body is ash covered,

His hair tied in matted locks.

The crescent moon rests upon his brow,

The sacred river Ganga flows from his crown.

And in his silence,

There is infinite power,

In his stillness,

Eternal presence.

Feel Shiva's energy surrounding you now.

Peaceful,

Strong,

Infinite.

Silently repeat this intention,

O Shiva,

Guide me to inner stillness,

Help me release what no longer serves,

And awaken my highest truth.

O Shiva,

Guide me to inner stillness,

Help me release what no longer serves,

And awaken my highest truth.

With every breath,

Allow yourself to merge deeper with his energy.

Breathing in,

Stillness.

Breathing out,

Release.

Breathing in,

Stillness.

Breathing out,

Release.

Now,

Imagine a glowing indigo blue light at the crown of your head.

Shiva's energy flowing into you.

This light relaxes your scalp,

Your forehead,

Your eyes and cheeks.

It moves down your neck and shoulders,

Melting away tension.

Feel the light in your chest,

Expanding your heart with clarity and courage.

Down through your belly,

Your hips,

Your legs,

All the way to your feet.

Your whole body now rests in Shiva's sacred stillness.

Now,

Allow the sacred sound of Shiva to rise within you.

Silently repeat Om Namah Shivaya.

Om Namah Shivaya.

A mantra of deep purification and transformation.

Om Namah Shivaya.

I bow to the inner self.

I bow to the destroyer of illusion.

Repeat this mantra with a breath.

Inhale Om.

Exhale Namah Shivaya.

Namah Shivaya.

Feel each repetition drawing you deeper into peace.

If thoughts arise,

Gently return to the mantra Om Namah Shivaya.

Namah Shivaya.

Now feel yourself in the same stillness as Shiva.

The same timeless space.

Your breath,

Your being and the cosmos,

All one.

You are not separate.

You are the silence beneath all sound.

You are the awareness behind every thought.

Let yourself rest in this vast,

Expansive state of being.

Begin to bring your awareness back to your body.

Notice your breath again.

Feel your hands,

Your feet.

Bring a gentle smile to your face in gratitude for this moment of stillness.

For Shiva's presence and for your own inner awakening.

When you are ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Return to the world carrying Shiva's wisdom and calm within you.

Om Namah Shivaya.

Namaste.
