I come from a very traditional background and actually grew up working in a family business of fashion.
That led to really adhering to many of the Indian traditions that I was to follow and along the way there,
As in all of our lives,
There's going to be pain and obstacles and challenge and loss and heartbreak and all of those human things that we end up having to face.
Fashion was a place that I could see patterns.
I looked at how to put color and pattern and texture together and I would work very intimately with women in choosing what was right for them.
And as I was in dressing rooms supporting women,
They would often tell me their stories or I would hear many of the things they were facing in their lives.
And I started to notice the things that they were attracted to,
Color and pattern wise,
Kind of mimicked what they were talking about in their life.
And the more I explored this,
It led me down my own spiritual path,
Which very much has to do with signs and symbols and synchronicities,
And started me looking at myself.
And love was one of those places that I couldn't quite figure out.
I wanted to understand life.
It didn't make sense.
I couldn't understand the contrast and the challenge or why sometimes things had to hurt so bad.
I decided that the common denominator was me and that the only thing that I could do was really change what's within myself.
And so I created a mantra at that time that I still use and have to this day.
And it became the riverbanks in which I walk and how I face every person,
Place,
And thing,
Regardless of how it appears.
And that phrase is in love,
Of love,
With love,
As love.
We are in love all of the time.
We are with love all of the time.
We are composed of love in each and every cell and molecule and bone and tissue.
And we are here to be as love as our true primary purpose in life.
And that is what guides me in all the things I create,
In the different conversations I have,
Or when I look at the world and see both the beautiful and the contrasting.
In love,
Of love,
With love,
As love.
In love,
Of love,
With love,
As love.
In love,
Of love,
With love.
