Welcome to this short meditation practice.

My name is Mary Catherine and today I will be your guide.

Many times we feel totally overwhelmed.

It's as if our circuit breaks.

Our panels are overloaded.

As if our motherboard is fried.

So let's use this short rotation of consciousness practice to calm down the body.

Switching off.

Anything that no longer serves us.

Body coming into alignment.

Take a deep inhalation through the nose.

Inhaling.

Just noticing where the breath first arises in your body.

Might be in the belly.

Might be in the chest.

Just notice and don't attach any significance to this.

Feel your body settling into the surface below.

Quieting and becoming still.

Just follow your breath.

Noticing the pathways it travels in and around your body.

Just taking a few deep breaths.

Can make a difference in our whole nervous system.

Now imagine your entire body is a circuit breaker.

There's the right panel and the left.

Let's start at the right panel with the right big toe.

Switching it off.

The right index toe.

Flicks off.

Middle toe.

Ring toe.

And pinky toe.

All circuits switched off and shut down.

Flicking off the top of the foot.

And the sole of the foot.

The outside of the right ankle.

And the inside.

The calf.

And the shin.

The back of the knee.

And the front.

The hamstring.

And the quadricep.

And the right thigh.

The entire right leg.

Turned off.

Shut down and resting.

Flicking off the right hip.

The right waist.

The right rib cage.

And all the places in between the ribs.

One by one.

Turning them off.

Switching off the right armpit.

Right shoulder.

Elbow.

And wrist.

The toggle on the right thumb.

Index finger.

Middle finger.

Ring finger.

And pinky finger.

Also flipped.

The whole right arm.

Every connection.

Flipped off.

Right side of the neck.

The right ear.

Right temple.

Shut down.

The right eye.

Nostril.

Quiet.

Draw all of your attention down into the heart space.

And leave.

The switch on.

The right side of the heart.

Leave this connection.

Wide open.

All impulses.

Flowing.

And then go over to the panel on the left side of the body.

Down at the left big toe.

And flip that switch.

Flip the switch on the left index toe.

Middle toe.

Ring toe.

And baby toe.

All toes.

Quiet.

And at rest.

Flip the switch on the top of the foot and the bottom of the foot.

The outside of the left ankle and the inside.

The shin and the calf.

The back of the left knee and the front of the left knee.

The hamstrings and the quadriceps on the left leg.

All circuits.

Flipped off.

Resting and at ease.

Relaxed.

The left hip.

And the left waist.

Switch those off.

Move up to the left ribcage.

And flip all the switches on the left ribs.

One by one.

Then move up to the left armpit.

And flip that switch.

Left shoulder.

Left elbow and wrist.

Left thumb.

Index finger.

Middle finger.

Ring finger.

And pinky finger.

Whole left arm.

All the circuits.

Shut down.

Relaxed.

Left side of the neck.

Left ear.

Left temple.

Flip the switch at the left eye and the left nostril.

Withdrawing all of your senses.

And then come back to the left side of the heart.

And keep this circuit on.

Letting the love flow freely between the left chambers of the heart and to the right.

Follow the circuitry of love up into the brain.

And down along the spine.

All the way to the ends of your toes and the tips of your fingers.

Just rest here.

Whole body.

Quiet.

And heart.

Wide open.
