Welcome to this yoga nidra for your new chapter.
This is the final yoga nidra in our seven days of yoga nidra challenge.
If you haven't tried the earlier practices,
You are so welcome to start from the beginning or stay here and enjoy this as a standalone practice.
Maybe you're entering into a new phase of your life.
Maybe there's a change in your living circumstances,
Your job,
Your life roles,
Relationships.
Maybe you're walking away from something that just hasn't been giving you anything back.
Maybe you're starting something new,
A new skill,
A new course.
Or maybe your new chapter is a chapter with a solid,
Consistent yoga nidra practice.
This practice will guide you through letting go of self-doubt.
But remember that nervousness around something often means that you care.
So we will aim to let go of self-doubt.
Whilst also embracing any nervousness and anxiety and we'll look forwards,
Look forwards to feeling open and ready for what's next.
So let's start by getting completely comfortable lying down in any position or you can practice seated.
Grab any props that you need,
Perhaps anything to block out some light,
Extra support for your head.
Make sure that you'll be warm enough.
And then once your body is comfortable and supported,
Let's allow the mind to be free.
Allow your mind to think about all of the things it needs and wants to think about in relation to your new chapter.
There's no need to filter.
Let anything and everything come to the surface no matter how irrational or surprising.
And then know that you don't have to do anything in particular with those thoughts.
You don't have to think them.
You don't have to not think them.
But let's just guide the awareness to the breath.
Like you can anchor your attention.
On your breath.
Inhale the newness,
New air,
New oxygen.
And exhale out the oldness.
Old ways of seeing yourself.
Old chapters.
Old stories.
Inhale in the new chapter.
And exhale out to become heavier.
To become more relaxed.
With each exhale breath.
Releasing anywhere in your body that's holding on.
Softening the tip of your tongue.
Your whole tongue.
The roof of your mouth.
The base of your mouth.
The insides of your cheeks.
Your whole mouth.
Release any gripping around the jaw.
Let the jaw soften.
Relax your lips.
Your cheeks.
Your temples.
Your whole forehead.
Soften the skin of your scalp.
The bones of your skull.
Let your head be heavy.
Not needing to think at all.
Let the weight of the head,
Let the activity of the mind be fully supported by the earth.
Relaxing the throat.
Relaxing any gripping of the unknown future from around the throat.
And let the tension of the shoulders melt away.
Let the shoulders completely relax and let that softness travel all the way down the arms,
Through the hands and into the fingers.
Completely relax your arms,
Your shoulders,
Your throat,
Your neck.
And relax your chest.
Resting your compassionate awareness for a moment on your heart.
The home of all love.
Including self-love.
Resting your awareness at the energy of the heart for a moment.
Softening the whole chest.
The whole of Quebec.
Guiding your awareness down to your belly.
That place you get your gut feeling.
A place where you might be experiencing butterflies or an empty sensation and just notice.
This isn't a sign to not do it.
It's a sign that you can.
Allow the belly to soften.
And soften any gripping through the hips.
Relax your legs completely,
All the way down into your feet and into your toes.
Allow your whole body to rest.
Guiding your awareness to your new chapter.
Just being aware.
Calmly,
Mindfully aware of your new chapter.
And notice what comes up.
Is there anywhere in your body that responds?
Maybe butterflies in your tummy.
Maybe a gripping in the throat.
Maybe a tension in the forehead.
Maybe excitement in your heart.
Just notice.
No need to force it.
No need to push it away.
Just notice.
And listen.
Listen to any words that come up.
Positive or negative.
Maybe there are colours or shapes that come up.
Just your day.
And just like the breath.
That keeps coming and going.
Being open-minded about how this new chapter will happen.
How it will feel.
How it will roll out.
Each breath.
A new chapter.
Each breath.
A new chapter.
Bringing your awareness to your heart.
Allow your open-mindedness about your new chapter live at your heart.
An openness of what might happen.
How your new chapter looks and feels.
Inhaling,
Saying to yourself,
I am open.
Exhaling,
Saying to yourself,
I am ready.
And from your heart.
The openness at your heart,
Expanding your awareness all the way up to the crown of your head.
All the way out to the tips of your fingers and all the way down to the tips of your toes.
With the breath inhaling in,
I am open.
And exhaling,
I am ready.
Come back to this practice whenever you have a wobble about anything that's coming.
And when you are ready starting to perhaps wiggle fingers and toes.
Maybe circling at the wrist joints,
Circling at the ankle joints.
You might want to take a big stretch,
Maybe reaching your arms up over your head and stretching all the way up from the hands down to your feet.
Bringing yourself back up to seated when you are ready.
Noticing any gripping around the jaw.
Any sensation of butterflies in the tummy.
That leap of excitement in your heart.
And remember.
.
.
They're not signs you shouldn't do it.
They're signs that you care.
I'll see you again in this practice,
Whenever you have a new chapter,
Something new coming up.
I wish you a wonderful rest of your day.
