The Rosary is made up of twenty "mysteries" (significant events or moments in the life of Jesus and Mary), which, following the Apostolic Letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae, are grouped into four series. This is The Fourth Sorrowful Mystery - The Carrying of the Cross. Listen for divine connection to Our Lord and Our Lady. God bless you all dear friends.

In the name of the Father,

And of the Son,

And of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth,

And in Jesus Christ,

His only Son,

Our Lord,

Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

Suffered under Pontius Pilate,

Was crucified,

Died,

And was buried.

He descended into hell.

On the third day,

He rose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

The Holy Catholic Church,

The forgiveness of sins,

The resurrection of the body,

And life everlasting.

Amen.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

Be full of grace,

The Lord is with women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death,

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death,

And to the Holy Spirit,

As it was in the beginning,

Is now,

And ever shall be,

World without end.

The fourth sorrowful mystery,

The carrying.

Jesus carries the heavy cross upon his shoulders to Calvary.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

And yet,

Ours were the sufferings he bore,

Ours the sorrows he carried.

Be full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Jesus handed Jesus over to them to deal with as they pleased.

Be full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

As they were leading him away,

They seized on a man,

Simon from Cyrene,

Who was coming in from the country,

And made him shoulder the cross and carry it behind Jesus.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Large numbers of people followed him,

And of women too,

Who mourn thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

But Jesus turned to them and said,

Daughters of Jerusalem,

Do not weep for me,

Weep rather for yourselves and for your children.

Be full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

For the days will surely come when people will say,

Happy are those who are barren,

The wombs that have never borne,

The breasts that have never suckled.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Then they will begin to say to the mountains,

Fall on us,

To the hills,

Cover us.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Men,

Use the green wood like this,

What will happen when it is dry?

Be full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

They gave me poison,

In my thirst they gave me vinegar.

Be full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Shoulder my yoke,

And learn from me.

Yes,

My yoke is easy,

And my burden light.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

And to the Holy Spirit,

As it was in the beginning,

Is now and ever shall be.

World without a Jesus,

Forgive us our sins,

Save us from the fires of hell.

Lead all souls into heaven,

Especially those in most need of thy mercy.

Amen.

To thee do we send up our sighs,

Mourning and weeping in this veil of tears.

Turn then,

Most gracious Advocate,

Thine eyes of mercy towards us.

And after this,

Our exile,

Show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

O clement,

O loving,

O sweet Virgin Mary,

Pray for us,

O holy Mother of God,

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

O God,

Whose only begotten Son,

By his life,

Death and resurrection,

Has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life,

Grant,

We beseech you,

That meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the blessed Virgin Mary,

We may both imitate what they call Christ,

Through Christ our Lord.

In the name of the Father,

And of the Son,

And of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
