26/apr finally heard the last words and did have some interesting dreams previously. Onto chapter 11 tomorrow.
These stories by Burnett were read to us by my parents many years ago. Each one makes me think of my father’s family who were big Engineers three generations ago and did spend time in India designing the railways. They were once highly privileged with mansions and estates. I own some small momentos from that period in the late 19th century. We are all quite ordinary folk now. Although some of us might not agree or think so! Funny.
