On today's episode,

Finding compassion for yourself and still waters.

There are moments in life that feel stagnant.

It feels like nothing is moving the way you want it to and you crave to be free-flowing.

When you want the excitement and the action,

The feeling of aliveness.

Yet,

There is only stillness and inaction.

Compassion is waiting in the wings to hold you and comfort you.

To wait as you wait.

Compassion for yourself,

For the deeper meaning that lies behind the craving,

The craving for action.

For behind that driving urgency is the need to be you.

To connect.

To connect to the very essence of you that is bursting out.

Compassion says it's okay.

Slip into the tenderness of my embrace and feel the solace as we wait.

Together we will let impatience grow cold because compassion cloaks you.

A simple word,

An act of kindness,

A single deed is the kick starter to compassion.

Where you can take the compassion given so freely to others and turn it inward.

Compassion blooms in the heat of your soul.

Compassion is the one built for love's design.

Where it builds warmth and houses awareness to the gentleness that resides within you.

Building the foundation of kindness and love to tend and nurture the garden of your soul.

That kindness,

It's the way home.

The way home when it's littered with darkness.

When the path seems unbearable.

And hard to see.

Compassion lights the way.

Generating the warmth and heat to keep you going.

As your connection to the heart and soul of your humanity.

The touchstone and foundation of life and why you allow compassion for yourself.

Why you acknowledge it without dispute.

Compassion fills you with its radiant essence.

Compassion is the warm and loving presence that you can turn to anytime,

Anywhere.

In still waters or in joyful moments.

Let's deepen our compassion together.

Inviting you to close your eyes and bringing your awareness towards your breath.

Simply noticing that you're breathing.

Taking note of the breath that flows in and out of your body.

No need to change it or do anything different.

And as you're noticing your breathing,

Seeing if you can lean in a little bit with warmth and kindness towards yourself.

You can do that by generating some warmth within.

Allowing that warmth to expand within your heart center.

Or by offering yourself a gentle greeting,

A simple hello,

An acknowledgement of the life that's present here.

Acknowledging you a simple hello,

Hi,

Or maybe an inner smile.

One simple nod of acknowledgement in any of these ways.

Opening the door to kindness.

It starts with you.

Breathing in that kindness and warmth.

Allowing it to start to expand.

As you connect to your inner world.

Touching into the tender places that reside within you.

And alighting them with the warmth and comfort of compassion and kindness.

With a simple word.

A simple acknowledgement of your very presence that's here.

You can do that by saying the word compassion or warmth or love.

Breathing it in.

Breathing in love.

Letting that word fill you.

Warmth.

Compassion.

Each breath filled with the tenderness that's waiting.

Just breathing in the word warmth or love or compassion.

Letting it flow like a soft river.

Nice and gentle.

Echoing through you.

And if you'd like,

Connecting with yourself a little deeper by placing a hand on your heart.

And just repeating warmth or kindness or love or maybe all of them together.

Letting yourself be filled.

Filled with compassion.

Repeating silently.

Love.

Warmth.

Compassion.

Just allowing,

Allowing the sensation of warmth to fill you.

To hold you.

To tend to you.

And as the practice comes to a close,

Knowing that you can take warmth,

Kindness,

Compassion with you through your days.

Simply by repeating any of those words at any time or by placing a hand on your heart and connecting back to the compassion and the love that you're giving yourself.

And my wish for you is may you be kind to yourself.
