Welcome to today's session.
Take a second to just land here with me.
I know life can feel heavy sometimes,
The noise,
The pressure,
The uncertainty,
It all builds up,
So let's just slow down together for a few minutes.
Find a comfy spot.
You can sit cross-legged,
You can lie down,
Whatever feels good.
Allow your hands to rest somewhere easy,
Maybe on your thighs,
Palms facing up.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And let it out through your mouth,
Long and easy.
Let's do that again.
In through your nose,
Filling up your lungs,
And then exhale everything out.
Just keep breathing like that for a few moments,
Allowing each breath to bring in calm,
And each breath out to let go of anything you don't need to carry anymore.
Now bring your focus to your body,
Feel where you're sitting,
Where your body connects to the ground or the chair beneath you.
Feel where you're sitting,
Where your body connects to the chair or the ground beneath you.
You're supported,
You're safe here.
Relax your face,
Soften your jaw,
And drop your shoulders down,
They've probably been working overtime.
Take a moment to relax your face,
By softening your jaw,
Relaxing your eyebrows.
Let's drop your shoulders down,
They've probably been working overtime.
Let them rest.
You know,
Our minds are funny sometimes,
They like to rush ahead,
Trying to predict what's coming next,
Worrying about things that haven't even happened yet.
They replay old stories,
Old conversations,
Over and over again,
Like they're trying to fix something that's already gone.
They cling to control,
To outcomes,
To expectations,
To the idea that if we just think hard enough,
Maybe we can make life cooperate.
But that's constant spinning,
That need to control and figure everything out.
It's exhausting,
Isn't it?
It pulls us out of the only moment that's ever real.
This one.
So let's come back,
Right here,
Right now.
Let's take a deep breath in,
And as you breathe out,
Imagine releasing everything that's been sitting heavy on your chest,
The stress,
The overthinking,
The doubt.
Let it move through you and out of you.
Our days are full of movement,
Moments of calm,
Bursts of energy,
Dips and rises.
These natural ebbs and flows are part of being human,
Instead of resisting them.
We can learn to move with them,
Like waves.
Your breath is your anchor.
It's always there,
Quietly guiding you back to balance.
When you take a moment to tune in,
To slow down and actually feel your breath,
You're telling your body that it's safe,
You're soothing the nervous system,
Easing the background tension you might not even realise you've been holding onto.
And in that space of calm,
Something beautiful happens.
Your thoughts clear,
Your body softens,
And you begin to function from a place of steadiness instead of survival.
You respond instead of react.
You move instead of rush.
You start flowing with your day,
Rather than fighting against it.
Now,
If it helps,
Bring your hands to your heart for a moment.
Feel the warmth there.
That's your strength,
Your softness,
And it's your light.
Maybe whisper to yourself,
I don't need to hold on anymore.
I'm okay right here.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Stay with your breath.
Feel how much lighter your body already feels.
Notice the calm that's been waiting underneath all along.
And when you're ready,
Let's take one more deep inhale and fill yourself with whatever you need right now.
And as you exhale,
Imagine sending out a big sigh of relief.
You did it.
You gave yourself a few minutes to reset.
You let go of something today.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and notice how your body feels.
Maybe you're a bit softer,
A little bit freer.
And that's you coming back to yourself.
Remember,
You can do this anytime and it doesn't have to be perfect.
Even one deep breath can shift everything.
Thank you for tuning in today.
You're doing much better than you think.
One breath at a time.
