Bhairav means “Terrible” or “Frightful”. Bhairav is also known as Kala Bhairav, is a Hindu deity, he originated in Hindu mythology and is sacred to Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains alike. Lord Bhairav is an incarnation (avatar) of Lord Shiva. Bhairav is a fierce form of Shiva. In his four hands, he carries a trident, drum, and skull. The persons suffering from visible enemies, threatening from people and becoming scared must recite this Kaal Bhairav Ashtakam regularly.
