According to neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Huberman, "NSDR is an umbrella term for a variety of practices that guide your brain and body into a state of deep relaxation without falling asleep completely." NSDR has also been shown to powerfully increase our learning capability. I've added a 528Hz soundscape, the effects of which are backed by science: "These results suggest that 528Hz music has an especially strong stress-reducing effect, even following only five minutes of exposure."* There is an invitation in this practice to follow a few cycles of deep yogic breathing. Do this only if you feel like it. Avoid if you have any heart or blood pressure issues. This practice works best when repeated regularly. It can be helpful to write down any intrusive or repetitive thoughts before you start. Enjoy! image: Sdf Rahbar
