LIght a candle on a safe dish or candle holder and begin to focus on the flame. In yoga this is called a drishti. You hold the focus of the flame in your sight and then close your eyes and see the flame and just watch thoughts pass as if they are clouds going past a window where the light shines in. This meditation takes you back to eyes closed and then eyes open.
