Managing Worry - by Esther Walton
COURSE

Managing Worry

With Esther Walton

Worry is one of the most common and least understood experiences in daily life. Most people who struggle with it know it is not helping them, and yet it keeps returning, often feeling urgent, uncontrollable, and impossible to reason away. Worry is not simply anxiety. It is a specific habit of thinking, driven by particular beliefs and a particular relationship with uncertainty, and it responds to specific, targeted approaches rather than general reassurance or willpower. Across ten audio lessons, this course works through what worry actually is, why the brain produces it, the hidden beliefs that keep it running, and the practical tools that research consistently finds make a real difference. Each lesson is short and includes a specific task to try. Please note that this course is for educational purposes and is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

Practical, research-based tools for understanding why you worry and how to change your relationship with it.

Esther Walton is a UK-registered dietitian with many years of experience supporting people through some of life's most demanding periods. Alongside her clinical work, she has developed a body of audio courses grounded in psychology, cognitive behavioural approaches, and wellbeing research, designed to give people both the understanding and the practical tools they need to manage their inner lives more effectively. Her approach is direct, evidence-based, and always focused on what people can actually do rather than how they might ideally feel. This course reflects that approach directly.
