Welcome to this video where we're gonna do a quick writing exercise to help you connect with your future self.
This is gonna be a very easy writing exercise with no pressure.
So before we get started,
Make sure you have a notepad.
Or a notebook,
Just something to write with and a pen or a pencil.
And you can pause the video now if you need some time to find that.
But if you already have one,
Let's get started.
So we're going to start by closing our eyes.
And take a deep breath in.
And a deep breath out And in the beginning,
We're getting used to stillness.
So our mind may be very chaotic and busy.
There may be a lot of thoughts coming in and out.
And we're not going to worry about that.
The goal isn't to get to a completely empty and quiet mind.
The goal is to simply start the process of finding stillness.
And one of the best ways you can tell how your body is feeling in this moment is by paying attention to your breath.
So take another deep breath in.
And then take a deep breath out.
And now you can continue to breathe in and out at your own pace.
But I encourage you to experiment with just going a little bit slower than you're used to.
And the goal here is to calm your body and your nervous system.
And notice how your breathing feels.
Do you find it easy to take deep breaths?
Or do you feel that your breathing is short and you have a tendency to want to shorten your breath?
And to move faster.
There's nothing you have to do if you notice this tendency But our goal now is to slow everything down.
And to find that point of stillness within.
So again we take a deep breath in.
And exhale.
The intention for the writing exercise today is to connect with the future version of ourselves.
Who already has everything that our heart dreams of manifesting.
Time is an illusion which means that this future version of yourself already exists.
And all we're doing is connecting.
With this version of yourselves energy.
And by doing this,
We bring their energy into your present moment.
Which changes your frequency.
And when your frequency shifts,
The mirror of your external world will shift as well.
As I mentioned before,
Time is an illusion and all that matters is the present moment.
And if we connect with the feeling that our heart wants to experience right now.
We will then manifest the things that will help give us that feeling.
Because all we truly desire is to feel a certain way.
That our ego believes we need certain things,
People are life circumstances to feel.
But we have it backwards,
At least our ego does.
We think we need to manifest these things before we can feel good.
But actually what's more important is to feel good first and then we will manifest those things.
So we're gonna use the powerful creative tool of writing.
To help us connect with the future version of ourself who's already feeling the way that we wanna feel.
And this will then manifest the things we want into our life.
And often the things that will manifest are not the things that our ego thinks we want.
But things that we didn't even realize we wanted.
That make us feel the way that we truly want to feel,
That our heart wants to feel.
So continue to breathe in and out.
Deeply in your own pace.
And we're gonna get ready to write soon.
And the last thing we'll do to prepare before we write is I want you to pay attention to where you feel your sense of self is.
In your body.
For many of us.
If we were to ask where in our body do we feel our sense of self?
It feels most present in our mind or in our head.
And what we're gonna do is we're gonna visualize our sense of self.
Traveling down our body,
Just like it's on an elevator.
Down to our heart.
And by doing this,
We connect with the frequency of our heart which is extremely powerful.
And has a much greater ability to manifest the things we want than our mind does.
So continue to take deep breaths in and out.
While visualizing your sense of self slowly traveling down your body.
From your head to your heart.
And now we're gonna get ready to write.
Before we connect with the future version of ourself and their energy.
We're going to do a stream of consciousness brain dump.
If you think of yourself as a channel we need to clear the channel.
And it's very easy.
All you're gonna do is write without stopping your pencil or pen from moving.
Just keep writing anything that comes to your mind.
If you don't know what to write,
You write down,
I don't know what to write,
But I know that I'm gonna keep writing,
So my pencil's gonna keep moving.
And then if a new thought arises,
We just write it down.
This is something that No one else will read besides you,
Unless you choose to have them read it,
But most likely you won't.
And when you're finished with this exercise,
If you like you can rip up the page and throw it away.
So you have no risk of writing something that someone else will see.
This is just for you.
And it doesn't matter if what you write is positive or negative.
It doesn't reflect anything true about you.
But all it's doing and its only purpose is to clear everything out from within you.
That's blocking your connection to your heart.
And a lot of times these things that we pick up are energies.
That came from someone else.
Through a conversation,
Through social media,
Through the news.
So you may have some ideas come up or some words and thoughts.
That don't feel like yours.
And that's a good thing.
Because by putting it onto the page,
We're clearing it out of your energetic system in your body.
You can connect with the energy that truly does belong to you.
So we're going to get started.
And once you write your stream of consciousness writing,
Just don't Let your pen or pencil stop.
It doesn't matter what speed you write at,
You could write fast or slow.
But the important and essential piece here.
Is you don't let your writing stop.
And I'm just gonna sit here and hold the space.
And I'll tell you when it's time to move on to the next writing exercise where we connect with your future self.
So grab your paper and your writing tool.
And begin writing.
Now we're just about finished with this portion of the writing,
But if you need more time,
You can pause this video.
Right?
As long as you need.
And then unpause it when you're ready to move on to the next step.
So now that you've finished this part of the riding exercise,
You can close your eyes again and just pay attention to how your body feels.
You may notice that your body feels lighter.
You feel more optimistic,
More positive in general.
Without trying to be,
You may notice that your energy state has shifted.
And if you experience this,
It's not because your energy has changed in a dramatic way,
But instead it's because you've released a lot of energy that isn't yours.
And your pure energy is so beautiful and it's pure love.
And all you're doing is reconnecting with the energy that you truly are.
So it's similar to the metaphor of the golden Buddha statue where it's just covered in other stuff,
But you're always golden and all we're doing,
At least all we've done so far,
Is help release some of that stagnant energy that was just blocking the beauty that you are.
Now we're going to move on to the next portion of the writing exercise,
Where you're going to connect with your future self.
We're going to start off with a short visualization in your mind.
I'll guide you through it and then you'll write.
So keep your paper and writing tool nearby.
But for now let's close our eyes and take another deep breath in.
And let it go And what we want to do is make sure that our energy is centered on our heart.
If you would like,
You can place your hand on your heart that can help anchor your energy there,
But it's not necessary.
For some people when they visualize,
They see very clear images.
And for other people.
The images aren't so clear or they don't see images and instead they have a feeling.
Either is great,
It's perfect,
It doesn't matter how you visualize.
All that matters is we're setting the intention to connect with our future self.
And anything that comes up is what's meant to come up.
So now while your energetic center is still on your heart,
Begin to visualize a future version of yourself.
Who feels the way that you wanna feel.
And whether you see it in your mind's eye or feel it,
Notice where they are in the world What does their immediate environment look like?
Who are they surrounded by?
Are you alone?
Or are you with people you love?
You're not predicting your future.
So what you visualize may not be what you end up manifesting,
Even as you create your dream life.
But all we're doing now is we're visualizing what comes up.
And the most important thing is you're noticing how your future self feels.
That's the essence of what we're tapping into.
And all of these details just help increase that feeling that we want to connect with and embody.
How does your future self feel in their body?
Do they feel at peace?
Can you hear the sounds of nature all around you?
And now imagine your present self.
Is meeting your future version of yourself.
And they give each other a very warm and loving hug.
And your future version of yourself makes you some tea or any beverage you like.
Maybe cacao,
Maybe coffee,
It's up to you.
And they just want to chat with you.
And now imagine you're sitting on a sofa.
And you're right across from your future version of yourself.
And they're looking at you with so much unconditional love.
And gratitude for the beautiful being that you are.
And now they want to share something with you,
Something very specific to you.
Something that they want their younger version of themselves to know at this exact moment in your life.
And now you can open your eyes and begin to write down that message.
If nothing comes through right away.
Be patient,
Keep taking deep breaths in and out of your heart.
Trust that the message will come when it's time,
But there's no need to force it.
And if you're not sure what's a thought in your mind or what's the actual message,
Write it all down and then you'll be able to feel the difference between the message that comes from your future self and any message that comes from your mind.
I'm going to sit and hold the space while you do this,
And I'll let you know when it's time to move on.
And now we're about to move on.
But if you need more time,
You can pause this video and keep writing.
But if not,
You can put your writing tool down and close your eyes again.
And we're going to thank the future version of ourself for helping us today.
You can give each other a very big warm and loving hug again.
And express gratitude.
For your present self and for your future self.
Because without your present self,
Your future self would not exist.
And now we're going to return back to this present moment.
Take a deep breath in.
And exhale and just before we open our eyes and finish this exercise pay attention to how your heart is feeling right now Does it feel full?
Or not,
It's okay either way.
Do you feel like your energy has shifted after meeting your future version of yourself?
There is no right or wrong way to feel,
But just notice what has occurred.
And how your energy feels now at this moment and begin to open your eyes and look around you if you like just pay attention to your surroundings and just show appreciation and gratitude for yourself for participating in this exercise.
It's been a lot of fun and a pleasure to help walk you through this exercise.
But it's essential that you know that any good things that happened today weren't from me,
They were from you.
And I was just a mirror to help you see the beauty and the radiance that you are and the wisdom that lives within you.
