Hello and welcome to the color breathing meditation.
A guided meditation that will leave you feeling calm,
Relaxed,
And completely present.
This meditation is great for if you start to notice tension in your body,
Your thoughts are starting to race,
Or maybe you just need a moment to yourself.
So go ahead and get into a comfortable seat,
Releasing any points of tension that's possible for you.
Next,
Go ahead and soften your gaze or close your eyes,
Whichever feels most comfortable for you.
I'll invite you now to turn your attention inwards,
Starting to focus on your breath.
Notice the different qualities of your breath.
Perhaps you start to notice how fast or slow your breathing is.
Maybe you begin to notice where you're sending your breath.
Perhaps you're sending it to your throat,
The top of your lungs.
Maybe you're sending it all the way to your belly.
What about the texture of your breath?
Are the inhales and exhales smooth?
Or do they get caught at certain points?
You're not trying to change or shift any of these qualities.
We're just noticing.
Next,
I'll invite you to envision a color that represents warmth and relaxation.
Begin to envision this color swirling around you in a colorful mist,
Completely enveloping you in this warmth and relaxation.
Next,
Go ahead and breathe in that colorful mist,
Sending it through your nostrils.
Maybe it trickles down your throat.
Watch it swirl around you as you exhale.
This is what it feels like to once again be enveloped in this warm mist.
Breathe in again,
Sending the color now,
Maybe to your lungs,
To your belly,
Breathing it out.
Letting the tension leave your body as the mist does.
Sending it in once more,
Sending it now to your arms,
Your legs,
Maybe it's moving up your head,
To your ears.
Sending it out,
Feeling yourself fall deeper into your seat,
Feeling the comfort,
Relaxation start to encompass you.
Breathing in one last time,
Sending the color now all the way to your fingertips,
Toe tips,
Top of your head,
Breathing it out,
Feeling complete and total relaxation as the warm mist completely envelops you.
Next I'll invite you to check in with your breath once more and just notice if any shifts occurred.
Maybe your breathing has slowed,
Maybe your inhales and exhales are a little smoother.
If not,
That's totally okay,
We're just noticing.
Take a few moments longer to revel in this relaxation and perhaps see if you can take this calmness into the rest of your day.
