Poem For Self-Confidence "I Bloom"

I bloom, a poem inspired by succulents blooming flowers in spring and general unlikeability during other seasons. A poem to inspire empowerment, self love and confidence in yourself first. Believing in self shines through to to others, even if it takes awhile. There is acknowledgment that life comes in seasons, but it is always our season to grow.

I bloom.

Like a succulent,

I bloom.

I'm not always impressive,

But I grow while you're not watching.

And I don't need a lot.

Consistency.

Some water.

Here and there.

I go unnoticed,

Blending into the background while I observe life going on around me.

Then you notice me again.

Because I've grown.

And now,

It bloomed.

And you're always impressed.

I never cease to amaze you.

Because you forgot about me.

But I didn't.

I let myself grow.

I let myself bloom.

I knew who I was the whole time,

But I wasn't ready yet.

Now,

It's my season.

And I'm flourishing.

If you don't stop to enjoy the beauty,

I may be gone before you have time to.
