Hi friends,
This is Zubraska.
Welcome to today's meditation for change.
Now often when we talk about change.
We want to talk about what is ending.
I want to do something different tonight.
I want to talk about what stays.
Because here is what is true.
Whether you are in the middle of a divorce,
An empty house,
A body that doesn't move the way it used to.
A career winding down.
The role changes.
The title changes.
The mirror changes.
But there is something in you that has been present for every single version of your life so far.
And it hasn't changed once.
And that is what we're going to go looking for today.
Not the part of you that is shifting.
The part of you.
That's been quietly holding still underneath all of it.
This whole So get settled,
However you're comfortable.
Seated,
Laying down.
And when you're ready.
Let's begin.
Take a deep inhale through the nose.
Inside it.
And again,
Breathing fully.
Let it go.
Let's take a last cleansing breath.
Inhale through the nose,
Hold the breath at the top.
And when you feel prompted by the inner urging of the body,
Release the breath fully.
And close your eyes.
Or soften your gaze.
And as you continue to breathe in and out the nose naturally.
Bring your awareness into your body.
Feel the weight of yourself settling.
Shoulders,
Hips.
The backs of your legs.
And simply let gravity hold you.
Watch your breath move in and out.
And now let the exhale get a little longer than the inhale.
Inhale 2,
3,
4.
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Inhale 2,
3,
4.
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Inhale 2,
3,
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Last round.
Exhale.
As you inhale,
Come back to the natural flow of your breath once again.
And notice some.
Your breath has changed thousands of times today.
Faster,
Slower.
Shallow.
And yet,
Something has been breathing you the entire time.
Underneath the changing breath.
There is a constant,
Vastly breathing.
Keep that in mind.
We're going to keep finding versions of this today.
Now.
I invite you to plant something.
One short,
Quiet statement.
To remind the part of you that already knows.
What stays in me is steadier than what's leaving.
What stays in me is steadier than what's leaving.
What stays in me is steadier than what's leaving.
And now bring to mind gently.
What's changing in your life right now?
Don't dwell on the details.
Just let its shape enter the room with you.
And here's what I would like you to notice.
The change is loud.
Change is always loud.
He wants your full attention.
He wants to convince you.
It's the whole story.
So instead.
.
.
Go looking for what's quiet.
And ask yourself.
What has been true about me before this change?
Doing it.
And will still be true after it.
Maybe it's how you show up for the people you love,
Even on your hardest days.
Maybe it's your honesty.
The fact that you'd rather tell someone a hurt truth than a comfortable lie.
Maybe it's your courage.
You've walked into rooms before you felt ready more than once.
Maybe it's your capacity to keep loving.
Even after something has hurt you.
Maybe it's your fate.
In something larger,
In yourself.
In the idea that things eventually make sense.
These are not things you're doing right now.
There are things you are.
A role can be taken from you.
A title can end.
A body can change shape.
Nobody can take your integrity from you.
Nobody can take your capacity to love.
Nobody can take the way you keep getting back up.
Those were never alone.
Sit with one of those for a moment.
Whichever value feels most like yours.
Not the ones that sound impressive.
The one that is actually being steering you.
Your whole life.
Feeling in your body.
It possibly has a temperature,
Almost.
Await.
It's been in every room you've ever stood in.
This is what remains.
Everything else,
The roles,
The titles,
The reflections in the mirror.
Those are the weather.
This is the sky the weather moves through.
It doesn't flinch when the weather changes,
Because it was never made of weather to begin with.
Now I invite you to let it all quiet now.
Drop the question.
Drop the value,
Your name.
Even drop the line you planted.
You found what you came for.
He doesn't need you standing over.
I invite you to rest in the space between one thought and the next.
And that space,
It's made of the exact same steadiness you just touched.
Now gently begin to come back to this space.
Take a full breath in.
Let it go.
Receive this intention once again.
Receive it with your whole body.
What stays in me is steadier than what's living.
Take another breath in.
And as you exhale,
Feel your fingers,
Your feet,
Whatever is holding you up right now.
Whatever is changing in your life will keep changing.
That is not something today was meant to stop.
But you now know something you can return to.
Every single time it feels like too much.
There is a part of you that change cannot reach.
Carry that.
Not the anxiety about what's next.
The steadiness of what has always been here.
Take an inhale through the nose.
And as you exhale,
Gently.
Open your eyes.
Thank you for allowing me to guide your practice today.
Namaste.
