Today we're going to talk about how to divorce like a spiritual guru and yes spiritual gurus do get divorced.

My spiritual guru and teacher Michael Bernard Beckwith posted a video speaking about his divorce and conscious uncoupling from his wife Ricky Byers Beckwith after their long-term marriage.

Dr.

Beckwith spoke about an interviewer who characterized his two previous divorces as unsuccessful.

Dr.

Beckwith corrected the interviewer saying that just because the marriages ended did not mean they were unsuccessful.

He went on to explain the length of time of a marriage does not determine its success and that we should not let society determine whether or not our marriage was successful.

Relationships come into being for a reason and for a season.

Traditionally society has only used the length of time of a marriage to determine if it is successful but the season of your marriage may only last for two years or it may last a lifetime.

The reason for your marriage could be for spiritual growth that you need at that time and when the season of your marriage is over you can consciously uncouple and successfully end your successful marriage.

I invite you to divorce like a spiritual guru and know that the end of your marriage is not a failure and I invite you to examine the lessons you've learned,

The growth that you've experienced during the marriage and know that only you can define the success of your marriage.

Thank you so much for your presence.

Namaste.

Thank you for this - this is how I have been trying to reflect. For the good times that were had and the lessons learned; but it’s not always easy to do so, especially when those around you aren’t saying the same.
