You can't control everything,
But you can have power over anything.
Anything that comes in your way,
Anything you face,
Anything life gives you,
You can have power over it.
How you deal with life,
That is your power.
We are creators.
We are made in the image of God and God is the ultimate creator that makes us by design creators.
Our power is our wand,
Our paintbrush,
Our stencil,
That tool in which we use to create,
To carve out the life we want to exist in.
This life force that we possess is the breath to all parts of ourselves,
The light and the shadow,
The positive and the negative.
As creators,
We can choose what we breathe life or our power into.
And I get it,
It's not so easy.
You know,
It's a saying that we are creatures of habit.
So the question becomes,
How do we then transform from creatures of habit to creators of habit?
You see,
Creatures of habit will reform to their most unevolved selves.
When we are influenced by destructive thoughts and beliefs,
Or we're on autopilot only living from the perspective we were given,
Only living by the blueprint that was impressed upon us,
Only living an unexamined life,
Then yes,
We will remain creatures of habit.
But in order to transform to a creator of habit,
We must realize our habit creates our habitat.
Creating a new inner environment requires us to create a new habitat.
We are indigenous to the world we create.
Close your eyes.
Enter into your inner environment.
Can you see it?
What grows here?
What dies here?
What flourishes and what disintegrates?
What is harmful to your land?
What is the source of your joy?
Who are you surrounded by?
Who are your neighbors?
Are they alliances or enemies?
You know,
When you hear that story of Noah in the ark,
You hear about a man called by God.
There's a huge boat,
Two of every living species,
And then the great flood.
What I always reflect on is what happens when the water recedes.
You have all things that were living,
Plants,
Animals,
People,
Houses,
The way they lived,
Their belief,
Their culture,
Ultimately what God viewed as mistakes,
Now being the foundation of the new world that was about to be created.
This applies to us.
All our mistakes,
All the things we got wrong,
All of our hurt and pain,
All of our trauma,
I say flooded.
Flooded with new ideas.
Flooded with faith.
Flooded with healing,
With love and hope.
Flooded with perseverance.
Flooded with your power.
And then begin to create your new world.
