Welcome,
This is a short meditation to help you release stress and bring a sense of calm into your mind and body.
Find a quiet,
Comfortable place to sit or lie down,
Close your eyes gently and take a deep breath in and slowly exhale.
Now bring your attention to your breath,
Inhale deeply through your nose,
Feeling your belly expand.
Exhale slowly through your mouth,
Feeling any tension release.
Let each inhale bring in fresh energy and each exhale carry away stress.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Continue breathing naturally,
Allowing your body to relax with each breath.
Now bring your awareness to your body,
Starting at the top of your head,
Gently soften any tension.
Relax your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your jaw,
Let your shoulders drop and your arms feel heavy.
Feel your chest open as you breathe deeply.
Relax your belly,
Your legs,
All the way down to your toes.
With each breath let go of any tightness or discomfort.
Now imagine a warm,
Golden light surrounding you.
With every inhale this light fills you with peace.
With every exhale it carries away any stress or worries.
If thoughts arise,
Simply acknowledge them and let them drift away like clouds in the sky.
There's nothing to do right now,
Just be here in this moment of peace.
Now take one more deep breath in and slowly exhale.
Begin to bring awareness back to your body,
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes,
Carry this sense of calm with you as you continue your day.
