Hi there,
This is Cynthia.
Today we are going on a jungle adventure.
But not just any jungle adventure,
We are going on a sensory safari.
And I will be your safari guide.
We're not just going to look at the jungle,
We are going to use all of our five senses.
We'll see,
Hear,
Smell,
Taste and touch everything around us.
So go ahead and close your eyes and get yourself nice and comfortable.
Using your imagination,
Picturing yourself packing snacks and water so that you can head out on this safari with me.
First we are headed to the tall tall trees.
Walking with me now through the tall grass.
Up ahead you see the trees.
Close your eyes and feel the rough tree bark.
Can you imagine climbing these huge trees?
You put your hands out and you feel the trees and the rough bark and its bumps.
You pretend to climb and explore like a real jungle adventurer.
Next up,
We head towards a place with lots of colorful flowers.
Blue,
Green,
Orange and pink.
The aroma of the flowers takes over.
You take a big inhale through your nose and you take a big sniff.
How nice do these flowers smell?
Let's enjoy them together.
Smelling the sweet flowers,
You dance around feeling happy.
Next,
We are going to listen to all of the jungle sounds.
Listen carefully to the birds,
Leaves and the water.
What can you hear?
Your eyes are closed and you use your ears.
Noticing birds chirping,
Leaves rustling and water flowing.
The sounds are so beautiful that you feel like you're at a music concert.
Your tummy growled because you started to feel hungry,
So it's time for a snack break.
In my safari bag,
I've got tasty fruits like mangoes and bananas.
So we sit down together and we taste them.
You ate all of the fruits and loved the juicy flavors.
The sun is starting to set now,
So we head over to the river,
Where we will end our safari.
You go ahead and put your feet in the water and you feel how cool it is.
Splashing around,
Feeling refreshed and happy.
It starts getting dark,
So it's time to head home.
Remembering all of the fun that you had in the jungle today.
I'll see you next time for another safari adventure.
