A cute but powerful tale about imprisonment, personal empowerment and freedom. This is a retelling of a Persian folktale about a merchant who keeps their pretty parrot locked in a cage. The parrot is unhappy. When preparing for a regular business trip the merchant asks everyone what souvenir they wanted from the journey. The parrot states it's request. What happens upon the merchant's return will bring you to an awakening moment as you question yourself: Why am I doing this? Am I a prisoner of my own ego? Have I, by choice, allowed myself to be wrongfully imprisoned?
