Pieces Of A Hidden World, Intimate Piano And Cello In Nature
by Carlos Carty
I've always loved the small mechanical sounds of a piano: the soft click of the hammers meeting the strings. I deliberately bring that attack forward in my recordings. It's a tiny detail, yet over the years it has become part of my musical signature. In "Pieces Of A Hidden World," that intimate piano leads us somewhere unfamiliar, a quiet imaginary place surrounded by nature. Now and then, warm cello tones appear, carrying a little nostalgia and an emotion that is hard to put into words. The title came from imagining a place no map could ever show us. A world where time moves differently, where paths unfold without a destination, and where the ordinary gives way to wonder. Listen with headphones to catch every hammer and every soft detail, and let the music take you wherever it wants. Every listener finds a different version of this world, shaped by their own memories and dreams. I'd love to hear what yours looks like, so feel free to share it in a review. With love, Carlos Carty
