Lord God,
Heavenly Father,
You have created the entire universe.
You have designed it for our benefit.
You have provided for everything we need.
We praise You for Your magnificent work and the love You show in creating all things for us.
We also recognize that certain thoughts come into our minds that are inconsistent with the beauty of who You created us to be.
Sometimes we get caught in emotions of distress or anxiety.
It might be fear or insecurity.
We can feel so lost.
We know that You have created a stable universe and placed us in it.
But there are times when we feel distracted,
Confused,
And discouraged hearing thoughts that speak of a very different world than the one in which we are safe and secure with You.
We don't understand how we get lost.
But we know in those times that we have departed from the essential truth of Your love and its enduring reliability.
It is our continual desire to return to You,
To Your love,
To Your presence.
We long to hear the words of truth that You speak.
We need Your strong and dependable love to dispel the false messages of fear that have taken up temporary residence in our minds.
We want our minds cleared and renewed and refreshed.
We know that You are the pure source of all good things,
Like a spring of pure water that bubbles up from the ground.
We know that pure water cleans whatever it touches.
We know that Your pure love purifies our lives.
We engage the process of opening up to You.
We open ourselves up to You and to the truth that will remove the lies that have oppressed us.
We welcome Your fresh running water,
Gathering speed and growing into a stream,
Then into a river that washes away all fear,
All confusion,
All pain,
All sorrow.
We welcome the cleansing effects of the fresh living water washing through us.
We welcome You,
And we thank You for establishing Your peace as a strong foundation.
We know we can depend on You.
We know there is no greater love or power or authority in the entire universe,
None greater than You,
O Lord.
We are Yours.
We belong to You.
We are happy to be with You,
To give our lives to You.
We turn over all our troubles to You,
For You alone have the power to bring us peace in the midst of the storm.
We are thankful that our minds and hearts are being cleansed and refreshed by Your reliable and gentle power.
We love You,
Lord.
We rest in You.
We enter Your peace.
We thank You for the assurance that what is best,
What is most peaceful,
And what is most loving is always available from You here in Your presence.
We thank You,
Lord,
And we see our lives following the path that You have laid out for us.
