A Sliver Of Light In The Darkness

While talking about Barbara Brown Taylor's book "Learning to Walk in the Dark", I started thinking about the upcoming winter solstice (at least here in Canada). I love the winter, but sometimes it is nice to see a little light in the dark of the winter to remind us that light appears out of the darkness.

I could almost feel the sunlight flickering through the pine trees..

So beautiful. Spacious, quiet, musical. Not at all distracting to meditation.
