Vagus Nerve Chanting: Adi Mantra ("Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo")
by Asmi Vikasa
In this vagus nerve toning practice, we chant"Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo", which translates to "I bow to the Creative Wisdom. I bow to the Divine Teacher Within." Chanting this mantra vibrates the roof of the mouth, stimulating the vagus nerve as well as the hypothalamus and pituitary glands. It is often used to transition into a sacred space at the beginning of Kundalini yoga sessions. - "Ong" represents the creative energy of the cosmos - "Namo" means to bow or call upon - "Guru" is the teacher/wisdom - "Dev" means divine or subtle If you enjoy this mantra or find it beneficial, please consider leaving a review to help others find the content they need! ~ Namaste~
