There is a thread within you that can be traced back to the moment you were born into being the truest expression of yourself.

It is connected to the center of your heart where the voice of your deepest desire speaks longingly to you.

It is asking you to grab a hold of this thread with both hands and to pull upon the parts of you that make up the story of who you are and weave them in and through the world creating the most beautiful tapestry for others to see,

Feel,

And be moved by,

Made from the thread of your life.

This thread lives within each and every one of us.

It is the energetic current that carries our life force,

The one that can be traced back to the moment we were released from the umbilical cord that connected us to our mother's womb.

Throughout our life,

We often lose touch with this thread as the outer world pulls us into distraction and disconnect.

We forget what it is like to be in the presence of our inner knowing,

To grab a hold of the thread of our life with both hands and to pull it closer to the center of our heart so that we may remember who we truly are and what it is we have come here to do.

I invite you to come into this awareness of the thread of your life.

Allow your body to soften and relax into your own cocoon of comfort.

You can be in a seated position or lying down.

Whatever allows you to feel the most comfortable here.

I invite you to visualize this thread.

Beginning from beneath your belly button and weaving its way up throughout your belly,

Your solar plexus,

Your heart,

Your throat,

The space between your eyebrows,

Your third eye and up beyond your head.

I want you to take a moment and feel into the sensation of the thread,

Living and breathing within you.

And now imagine that you are beginning to look at it more closely.

And in observing the thread in this way,

You notice that there are parts of it that are knotted that have become tangled.

As you pay attention to these knots,

I invite you to explore what lives within them.

What parts of your outer life have become entangled around your own inner life?

What expectations do you find yourself wrapping around?

What experiences of I must,

I have to,

I should do you feel the most burdened by?

What external strings of influence are pulling at you,

Distracting you,

Creating a disconnect between your own inner world and the world that is outside of you?

You can invite in a particular experience or a story to understand why these knots are here entangled around your thread.

It can be a relationship,

A job.

It can be the pressures of society,

Of family,

Of expectations that you've placed upon yourself.

What part of you are you living into that creates these knots,

A disconnect or a dissonance,

A misalignment,

Whatever experience,

Whatever aspect,

Whatever story within your life is coming to mind here.

I want you to first acknowledge it.

Say hello.

Say hello to what is creating this entanglement.

And then say I love you.

And then imagine after you,

I've spoken these words.

I see you.

I love you.

Imagine this knot becoming entangled.

And you can do this for every small or large knot that rests within this thread moving within you.

And once each of those knots have been released,

I want you to imagine that this thread of your life begins to move,

Move in a way as if it is dancing in joy,

In peace,

In celebration,

And as this thread begins to dance,

Witness it come into a bright glowing light.

The thread of your life is now fully lit up into a bright white light from the bottom of your belly button all the way up to your solar plexus,

Your heart,

Your throat,

The space between your eyebrows,

Your third eye,

And up beyond your head.

This thread is shining a light to every part of you.

It is coming alive again.

It is remembering.

It is reminding you of your inner knowing.

It is bringing you back into the truest expression of yourself.

What is the remembrance of you,

Of who you have always been?

Take a moment now to breathe into the life that this creates within you.

The dancing thread of your life is alive and so are you.

I was connected to the thread of love, acceptance, and respect for myself and this meditation. Thank you Ash for the help untangling what no longer serves me, and connecting to what does.
