Welcome to this simple breath work practice.
This is Arya.
We will use breath awareness and coherent breathing to calm your nervous system.
To calm your mind,
Relax your body and to help you sleep better.
Now sit comfortably or lie down.
Close your eyes gently.
Bring your attention to your body.
Notice how are you feeling.
Are you feeling tired or stressed or happy about your day?
Notice the sensations with kindness.
Now bring your focus to your breath.
Notice the gentleness of your breath.
Feel your belly rising as you inhale and falling as you exhale.
Now we will inhale for 4 counts and exhale for 6 counts.
Exhale all of the air.

6 Keep counting in your mind and breathe with this rhythm for 3 more minutes.
Now inhale and exhale.
Now relax into the natural rhythm of your breathing.
Feeling each breath calming you.
Feeling your body relax as your breath flows easily and naturally.
You are safe.
You are calm.
You are at peace.
Exhale.
When you are ready,
Gently fall asleep or slowly open your eyes and return to the present moment if you need to.
