You are standing in the rolling hills of England on a sunny,
Warm day.
The sky is blue with not a cloud in sight.
All you can see is field after field of donkeys.
The donkeys are all enjoying being back in the paddocks and eating the grass in the sunshine.
The grass has returned to its green hue and the rolling hills are full of donkeys all the way down to the sea below.
The birds are singing a beautiful song and butterflies are flying past the donkeys as they graze.
So many donkeys of all colours and sizes.
One beautiful butterfly lands on a chocolate-coloured donkey's head,
Resting there to bask in the warmth of the sun before flying around and landing at your feet.
You admire the butterfly,
Its beauty,
As it sits there for a while and you take a few moments to enjoy being in this tranquil place.
The chocolate-coloured donkey is so sweet and gentle.
The only sounds that you can hear are the braying of the donkeys,
The waves lapping the shore below and the birds singing a dawn chorus as the sun comes up on another donkey-tastic day.
This really is donkey heaven.
Nothing to do but hang out with the donkeys,
Enjoying the peace and relaxation in nature.
One donkey wanders over towards the fence where you are standing.
She's here to say hello.
It's the chocolate-coloured donkey.
You move closer and gently pat her head.
She seems to enjoy it and so do you.
When you stop,
She nudges your hand as if to tell you to do it again.
You stroke the donkey's mane and the donkey looks deep into your eyes.
After a while of enjoying this sweet connection with your new donkey friend,
She brays goodbye to you and wanders off to join her donkey friends who are walking towards the sea.
You smile and turn to return,
Homeward as the sun shines down on you,
Feeling relaxed and uplifted from spending time with these gentle creatures.
