Welcome to your energetic cord cutting meditation.
My name is Angie and I will be your guide for this session.
Inviting you now to find a comfortable seat or lie down if you can stay alert.
Keep in mind the goal of this meditation is to stay alert and intentional,
Letting your body be fully supported.
So if you'd like to lie down,
Please do so.
Otherwise,
Find a comfortable seat.
Finding this comfort is the queen of your practice.
If you feel comfortable,
Chances are you'll come back to this again tomorrow,
The next day,
And again in the future.
Allow your eyes to close or soften your gaze.
Take a few slow,
Deep breaths,
Feeling the ground beneath you.
Feel the air around you as you exhale.
And bring your hand to your heart.
I want you to breathe in the feeling of safety.
Inhale through the nose.
Let's begin to simply notice your natural breathing.
When we're guided to inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth,
It often feels strange,
Which invites us to think about how we're breathing throughout most of the day.
In your practice today,
I invite you to be mindful of your breath.
Your breath is the driving energy force for how your body will experience life today and every day.
So let's focus on it while we're here today,
Okay?
Feel the inhale as it nourishes you and the exhale as it softens and releases.
Let's focus on grounding now.
Bring your attention to your feet or the base of your body.
If you're seated,
Bring your attention to your sits bones and everything in contact with the ground from your thighs to your ankles and the sides of your feet.
Imagine gentle roots grounding down into the earth,
Anchoring you,
Making you steady and safe.
If you're lying on your back,
Feel the back of the crown of the head grounded along with the back of the shoulder blades.
Feel your buttocks on the ground,
Your calves in the back of your heels.
Imagine gentle roots growing all the way down these areas.
Anchoring you,
Giving you a sensation of steadiness and safety.
As you exhale,
I'm inviting you to create an audible sound,
A sigh.
As we exhale,
The soften and the release is dependent on letting go of something minute.
This micro item that's been in your mind,
Your body or in your heart.
As you exhale,
Inviting a little side just to gently let that go.
Let's now gently scan your body and mind.
Notice if there's any one,
Any situation,
Any thought that you have or feeling that feels heavy right now.
Perhaps it's even draining your energy or you feel tangled up in it as if you can't separate yourself from that feeling,
That situation or that thought.
So let's first of all neutralize this experience and your perception of it.
Reminding yourself now that there's no need to judge any experiences or your perception or response to them.
Just notice what comes to mind or who comes to mind.
Continue to breathe naturally as you do,
Bringing a little bit more intention to that.
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth with a sigh if you wish.
Every time you exhale,
Soften and release.
And gently taking our scan and taking anything that came up for you and let's imagine that connection,
Expectation or energy that isn't serving you appears as this soft cord or thread linking you to that situation,
That person or that place.
Now you might see these cords either attaching into your body or they might run through your body down the center of the spine or it may be simply a sense where you feel this pull,
This tug or this heaviness somewhere in the body.
Let's locate that cord.
Remembering this cord represents whatever came to mind for you.
With each inhale you take,
I'm inviting you to imagine drawing your own energy back into your body,
Calling your power and your presence home.
And with each exhale,
My love,
Gently imagine loosening or dissolving these cords,
Letting go of what isn't yours to carry.
Might I suggest that holding on to this heavy load that you're carrying or these thoughts about this situation.
Perhaps carrying that weight is no longer serving you as you move into this brighter,
Better version of you today and tomorrow and beyond.
You might now visualize these cords melting away or floating off into the distance.
Maybe they're being cut by a gentle beam of light that you send with your decision to move forward with compassion,
With grace,
With love.
And if you feel resistance or emotion surrounding this,
That's okay.
Simply breathe and remind yourself it's safe to let this go.
I honor my energy and I will no longer abandon myself by entertaining these thoughts.
I return to myself in this moment.
Feel free to continue repeating this affirmation silently over and over again.
For the next few moments,
Continuing with the breath,
Inviting you now to place a hand on your heart or on your belly if it feels right for you.
Repeat silently or out loud,
I lovingly release what is not mine.
I call my energy back to me,
Whole and protected.
One more time,
I lovingly release what is not mine.
I call my energy back to me.
I am safe,
Whole,
And protected.
Surrendering in to the inhale through the nose and the exhale through the mouth,
Extending each as long as it feels right for you.
Fully surrender to this inhale.
Offering a gentle pause at the top if it feels right for you,
And when you're ready,
Exhale,
Release,
And let go.
Now imagine a gentle healing light filling any space where this cord was visualized today.
And bringing yourself warmth,
Peace,
And protection as you imagine this healing light filling the space.
Let this light expand through your whole body,
Filling you with calm and a sense of ease.
In it,
Take a few slow,
Deep breaths to close your session today.
Notice how your body feels.
Is it lighter,
Softer,
Or do you feel more at home in yourself?
Know that you can return to this practice any time you need to release,
Reset,
Or reclaim your energy.
And when you're ready,
Gently wiggle your toes and your fingers,
And open your eyes,
And return to your day with a sense of peace and self-trust,
With warmth and support.
Thank yourself for honoring your boundaries and your breath today.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
