This breathing exercise, breath waves, is a way to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Using this techinque can help you find a sense of calm. I learned the breath wave technique from Dr. Theresa Larson a few years ago, and I've been using at the beginning of yoga classes ever since. This is also my go-to practice if I'm feeling anxious or overstimulated.
