This recording is designed to guide you into a deep state of relaxation and welcoming sleep to come to you.

It should therefore only be listened to when you are ready for sleep.

Just find yourself a comfortable position,

Lying in bed all ready for a good night's sleep.

This is your time,

There is nothing for you to do,

Nowhere to be,

Just be you.

Gently close your eyes and as your eyelids close just feel everything in and around your eyes becoming heavy,

Droopy,

Drowsy.

That's perfect.

And making any adjustments you need now just to make yourself a little bit more comfortable.

Now take a deep breath in and exhale and just take another deep breath,

Breathing in and slowly release it and one final deep breath in and let it go and just allow a floating,

Drifting feeling to develop in your body,

Taking you further and deeper into relaxation.

And now just notice your breathing,

Not changing anything,

Just be aware of your breathing.

And every time you breathe out I want you to let go of everything you don't need,

The thoughts going on in your mind,

Just choose to let them go for now,

They don't matter in this moment,

All those cares and worries,

Just let them go.

This is your time,

Time for you to let go easily and effortlessly.

Now just direct your awareness to the top of your head and allow the muscles of your head to become smooth,

Soft and relaxed.

Feel your muscles simply switching off and your entire body is drifting,

Floating,

Relaxing deeper and deeper,

Welcoming sleep to come to you,

Descending upon you like a mist washing over your body.

Gently,

Calmly,

Easily allow yourself to go further,

Deeper into relaxation and direct your awareness to the little muscles in and around your eyes and just let them relax,

Just noticing everything in and around your eyes becoming heavy,

Droopy,

Drowsy and your eyelids are starting to feel right now as if they've been glued shut,

Sealed shut,

Locked together.

Now moving your awareness to your face and all the muscles and nerves in your face,

Letting them relax and switch off,

Relax your mouth,

The tongue and loosen your jaw,

Your entire face is relaxed,

Smooth,

Soft.

Now notice the entire head so comfortable and relaxed,

Resting so softly on the pillow.

Move your awareness into your neck,

Just allowing your muscles to switch off and relax,

Down into the shoulders now,

Loosening,

Softening,

Relaxing.

Move your awareness now to your arms,

The upper arms,

The elbows,

The lower arms,

The fingers and thumbs,

Just letting both your arms simply switch off,

Relax,

Feeling heavy,

Loose and comfortable.

Moving on to your back,

Your upper back,

Spine and lower back,

Just simply allowing all muscles to switch off,

Relax and let go,

Allowing your body to sink deeper and deeper into the bed.

Now you may notice your body feeling heavy,

Soft and comfortable and just welcome that feeling and use it to welcome sleep to come to you,

Invite sleep to drift over you like a mist,

Washing over you slowly,

Steadily,

Keeping you safe.

Now moving your awareness to your chest,

Relaxing and drifting deeper,

Allowing your breathing to slow down just a little.

That's it,

Feeling that drifting,

Floating feeling,

Spreading and intensifying throughout your body.

Breathing into your stomach,

Feel your stomach move as you breathe in and out,

Just relaxing,

Softening so comfortable.

Now move your awareness to your hips,

Just notice how heavy your hips are,

How relaxed and welcome that heaviness,

Feeling soft,

Loose,

So comfortable.

Moving down into the legs,

The thighs,

The knees,

The calves,

The ankles,

The feet and the toes,

Just allowing all muscles to switch off,

Leaving both your legs feeling heavy,

Soft,

Relaxed,

Resting heavy onto the bed.

And now notice your entire body,

So comfortable,

Lying heavy onto the bed,

So soft,

So smooth,

So relaxed and just allow that wave of relaxation wash over you,

Feel how it's increasing,

Inviting sleep to come to you and just welcome it,

Welcome the relaxation and welcoming sleep,

Feel your body drifting,

Floating further,

Way,

Way deeper and notice how good it feels,

How comfortable,

Sleep is coming to you,

It descends upon you like a mist washing over you,

Sleep is taking over,

Taking you deeper and deeper,

Keeping you safe,

Sleep is nurturing you,

Restoring your health,

Rejuvenating you and you can visualise in your own mind how rested and energised you feel after a good night's sleep and every time you play this recording,

Sleep comes to you easily and effortlessly,

Sleep descends upon you,

It drops onto you,

Covering you as you lie in bed so comfortable and completely relaxed,

Your mind is clear and you look forward to the wonderful dreams to come,

Your head lies ever so softly on the pillow and the covers are wrapped smoothly around you,

Keeping you safe,

Sleep comes to you quickly and easily,

It drops onto you,

It covers you,

Sleep carries you until your desired wake up time,

Sleep stays with you,

You go to bed at night feeling so comfortable,

Deep healing sleep comes to you and it stays with you until wake up time,

Sleep comes to you,

It stays with you,

Your mind clears and welcomes sleep to descend upon you and you sleep deeply,

Soundly,

Easily and effortlessly every night,

You have the most perfect sleep pattern and every night when you go to bed your mind knows that this is the time for your body to relax and for your mind to empty,
