In this guided meditation, we learn to open up our fists, surrender fear, and become open to receiving. Closed fists often are a physical sign of being closed mentally and emotionally, and represent fear, anxiety, worry, and nervousness. The act of opening our fists to receive blessings and abundance from the universe is also a way to align our minds and bodies with the highest truth.

Let's start with sitting down comfortably on a sofa,

On a chair,

On the floor,

Cross-legged or not.

Be in a position which is very comfortable for you.

I usually prefer closing my eyes because that makes it easier for me to go within.

So I would recommend closing your eyes but if you're driving or you're doing something else or you don't want to close your eyes that is completely okay.

Loosen up your fingers,

Loosen up your fingers,

Your palms,

Your hands.

Are they closed in a fist?

If yes,

Open them up to receive,

To let things flow.

Often closing the fist is a sign of being closed or of anger or fear or nervousness.

I often do that and my husband Mitesh would keep tapping my fist every time he saw it was closed.

It was an unconscious movement but as he started tapping it I became conscious of it and I started opening up my fist.

I started paying so much attention to it that I could be aware that my fist is closed even in my sleep and I would open up my fist even while sleeping.

Do you have that tendency just like me?

It's not your fault,

It's just a sign of trying to protect yourself.

Closing up because there is fear,

You're scared and it is okay to be scared.

Probably there have been some situations you were unaware of and that is the default of your body.

I'm inviting you to open your fist and just lay them gently,

Open your palms on your legs or in any position that you feel comfortable in.

Often the palms kept one above the other in an open,

Open to the sky or open to your face or just open is symbolic of receiving.

If the fist,

I'm sorry,

If your palms are facing down that is okay too.

Just imagine you're letting things go.

Let what is not serving you today go,

Release it.

Tears might come up,

You might feel emotional,

Thoughts might come up.

Oh yeah,

This is what is holding me down in this moment or today or in this season.

I'm ready to let go,

Let go of what is not serving me.

Being open to rest and to receiving,

To receive openly what the universe wants to give me,

Wants to gift me and bless me with and I have no idea what the universe has in store for me or for you but time and again the universe has given me more than what I have asked for,

More than what I have imagined,

More than what I thought I deserve.

It amazes me how a gentle,

Simple act of just opening up your fist and saying and seeing a simple prayer or a simple line can make shifts happen in just miraculous,

Unimaginable way.

We moved into this house a year ago and we never thought that this is the kind of space we would want or which we were looking for.

To be honest,

We didn't even know what to look for but all we knew was the energy we wanted to feel when we bought a house.

Sometimes I would get a ball in my stomach just entering a space and sometimes Mitesh would be like,

No I just don't feel it and sometimes it would be neutral and even though it was the perfect space,

It didn't feel right.

When we placed an offer for this house,

Something in me intuitively knew that I was holding back.

I was scared.

There was fear just like as if my fists were closed.

I wanted something so dearly but I was scared to receive it and unknowingly I was being my own obstacle in letting the universe send my way what was meant for us.

Mitesh and I had a long conversation.

We went for a walk and there I was crying,

Crying because I was scared to receive something that we've been wanting because I thought I don't deserve it.

Words probably that were spoken to me when I was a little young girl were etched in my subconscious mind or I don't know where but that held me back to be open to receiving.

There was conditioning that I have to really work hard and I don't know the value of something like this.

Only if I work hard will I understand the value and then I will receive it but maybe I will never be deserving enough to even receive it and because unconsciously there was this fear that I was holding on to.

Our previous offers were not accepted.

We didn't get those houses that we really liked.

I remember Mitesh telling this to me that I am all-in but if you are not all-in we both will not receive what is meant for us and maybe someone else did not appreciate who you were but for this space,

For us,

For me you are Lakshmi.

Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth and during Diwali we worship the goddess of wealth or I would say it's probably abundance and prosperity and maybe just like he said maybe he was right.

I remember that night after coming back from the walk I sat down and I did a little exercise of surrendering to the universe,

My fears and can you imagine what happened the next day.

I was painting in the afternoon and we got a message from a realtor that our offer was accepted.

I remember that moment so vividly.

All I remember was crying and thanking God or the universe.

It felt like a miracle.

This is what real surrendering looks like.

This is what opening up the fist and letting the fear go looks like.

This is what receiving can look like but we have to do the work.

We have to open our fist.

It's just a symbolic way of getting your body and mind ready and in alignment to what the universe wants to do through you or for you.

Miracles just don't happen like that.

So in whatever phase of your life your fists are closed.

I'm inviting you to open them up and surrender to the universe,

To God,

To angels,

To the higher supreme.

Whatever you believe in.

We wanted this space to share with friends,

Celebrate,

Share our spiritual journey through joy and happiness and meditations and maybe retreats in the future about art,

About beauty,

About truth,

About love.

We wanted this space to be a safe haven for us and for whoever comes into this space.

And the universe gifted us with exactly what it thought was right for us and it will gift you or bring into your life exactly what is right for you in that season of life and you or me or our little minds have absolutely no idea what we will receive and it wants to know and because it doesn't know it is scared of the uncertainty and that's why through the body it closes itself not open to the universe.

A sign of no.

I'm not ready.

Are you ready?

If yes,

Say a gentle prayer.

Dear universe,

I'm surrendering this fear to you.

Whatever your fear is,

Please take care of me.

I don't know what is right for me but you know what is right for me.

So I'm opening up my fists ready to receive whatever you have in store for me and I have no idea what it will look like but I am open to receiving it.

I'm open to receive all your blessings.

I trust you.

May only what is right for me happen.

If tears come down or roll down your eyes and cheeks,

Let it roll.

Cry.

Cry as loudly as you want.

Weep.

Sob.

No one is judging you here.

I sobbed like a baby.

I had a headache the next day but it was worth it.

I surrendered fully to the universe.

Open up your fist.

Surrender and then forget about it.

Place both your palms on your heart.

Dear universe,

Thank you.

Thank you for showering me with abundance and grace and love and all that you think is right for me.

Sit as long as you want in this moment and then whenever you are ready,

Open your eyes.

I hope you have a beautiful day and remember,

Open up that fist.

Good day.
