Today,
I have a practice for you for the moments when you feel not quite enough or unsure of yourself.
Actually,
For me,
This is almost a daily practice that I turn to,
Shared with me by one of my teachers.
So remember this in moments that you need it.
Start in a seated space or you can be lying down and just close the eyes.
From here,
You'll take a few deep breaths at your own pace.
Maybe you lift the shoulders and roll them back and then lay a hand on your heart or just surrender your palms up to the ceiling.
So from this space,
Imagine yourself in a place that you love.
For me,
It is in the woods.
Maybe for you,
It's the beach or a hiking trail.
And then imagine around yourself,
There are walls as high as you can see,
Walls that you have placed there.
Mine look like windows,
Maybe yours are brick or steel.
And imagine they're all around you.
Now see yourself tearing the walls down.
That could mean pushing them into the earth.
It could mean you have a sledgehammer,
But see yourself the way that you would.
Break the walls down one by one or brick by brick.
They fall,
They get absorbed into the earth.
And when this process feels complete for you,
Turn your internal gaze to your energetic field that emits from you,
That is part of you.
And at first,
Maybe it's really small,
Close to your body.
See if you can picture it growing in every direction and call it expanding.
Watch it grow 100 feet from you,
And then bigger to a thousand feet in every direction,
Then 10,
000 feet.
And continue this process until this beautiful field of energy is beyond earth,
Reaching into the galaxy.
And notice what it feels like to allow yourself to be this big,
This expanded.
Notice the sensations,
Let it keep growing.
Keep expanding and stay with this experience for a moment,
This experience of you,
Of what it might feel like to have things pushed out of the way,
To be raw,
To be exposed,
To be heart forward,
To be bold,
This experience of being all of you.
Take a few more breaths here around this moment.
When you're ready,
Start the process of coming back,
Not shrinking,
Not becoming smaller,
But just coming back,
Back to earth,
Back to your home,
Back to your body.
What would it feel like to walk into your day,
This expanded version of you?
When you're ready,
Just start to gently blink the eyes back open.
Take your time here,
And you can return to this whenever you need it.
Much love.
