Embracing The Wound
Everyone has emotional wounds, and they could get triggered by events in our lives that resonates with the ones in our early childhood that created them in the first place. For the ones who suffered big traumas these wounds can cause so much pain that they might want to avoid it in different ways. When we avoid the pain we can become numb and disconnected from our emotions. Someone told me recently that when a situation that repeats in our lives still causes us pain, this means that we haven't resolved it. I don't agree, the pain will always arises in certain situations and this doesn't mean that we have failed in our healing process. These emotional wounds might not disappear but we can relate to them in a different way. Instead of denying them, we can embrace them. That way we will feel the pain consciously and we will get the important messages it has for us. By embracing our emotional wounds with love, we are allowing our vulnerability and finding the inner power that lies within.
