Welcome to this guided meditation series for your chakras.
Today we will focus on your root chakra or as it's known in Sanskrit the Muladhara.
The root chakra is located at the base of your spine.
It's the first of the seven primary chakras and it's associated with the color red.
This chakra governs your sense of safety,
Security and stability.
It is the very foundation upon which all your other chakras are built.
Before we begin make sure that you are in a safe space.
You want to be where you won't be disturbed so you can fully immerse yourself in this healing session.
You may sit or lie down whatever is comfortable and begin to take slow deep breaths.
Take a deep breath in through your nose filling your lungs completely.
Hold for a moment and release the breath slowly through your mouth.
As you take these deep breaths let go of any tension or stress that you may be holding in your body and draw your attention down to your root chakra.
Begin by visualizing a bright glowing red light at the base of your spine.
As you inhale allow this light to grow brighter and stronger filling your entire pelvic area with its vibrant energy.
As you exhale from each breath you release any fears or anxieties that may be holding you back or feeling grounded and secure.
Inhale positivity and strength.
Exhale doubts and insecurities.
Visualize roots growing down from the base of your spine just like the roots of a tree.
They extend deep into the earth and anchor you firmly to the ground.
With each inhale you feel these roots growing stronger and deeper.
They connect you more firmly to the earth below.
With each exhale release your doubts or insecurities that prevent you from feeling rooted and grounded.
As you continue to breathe deeply and steadily imagine yourself standing on solid ground,
Your roots firmly anchored in the earth.
You are strong and secure.
Nothing can shake your foundation.
Feel the energy of the earth flowing up through your roots and into your body.
It fills you with a sense of safety and stability.
You now become aware of your physical body.
You feel the weight pressing down into the earth.
You feel the support of the ground beneath you.
Allow yourself to fully relax.
Let go of any tension or stress that's holding you back.
Feel the gentle rhythm of your breath.
Allow it to soothe and calm you.
As you continue to breathe deeply and steadily repeat these following affirmations silently in your mind.
As you hear these affirmations and guided by my voice,
Feel them resonating deep within you.
They fill you with a sense of power and confidence.
I am safe and secure and I'm firmly rooted into the earth.
I trust in the abundance of the universe and have everything that I need.
I am connected to the earth and to all living things.
I'm a part of the web of life.
I am worthy of love and respect and I honor and value myself.
I am filled with positive energy and vitality.
I am strong and healthy.
You know that you are worthy and deserving of all the blessings that life has to offer.
When you are ready take a few deep breaths.
Bring your attention back into the now.
Gently move your fingers and toes and gently stretch your limbs.
Take a moment to thank yourself for taking this time to connect with your root chakra and to cultivate a sense of safety and security in your life.
When you are ready slowly open your eyes and return to your day with a sense of calm and inner peace.
