Okay.
So everyone can arrive today where you are.
You're laying down,
You have your feet on the floor.
Just being in the body.
Being in the breath.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose.
And an audible exhale.
Through two more of those together,
Inhaling through the nose.
And release.
I want you to make the last one the biggest breath you've taken all day.
Breathe in.
Dip in a little more air.
And loud.
We are not our mind.
We are not our bodies.
We are simply a soul in this human experience.
What would it look like if there was no good or bad?
There was no expectations of what we are meant to feel.
It's a spectrum of emotions.
And we're actually meant to feel loved.
Ponder this as we go into today's meditation.
That the journey through the human experience is meant to be felt.
It's meant to be felt fully.
Without judgment to good.
No judgement so far.
What if we,
Huh?
And explored this human experience.
As if we were foreign to it all.
Brand new.
Brand new human.
Allow ourselves to feel every emotion.
What about if through our limited time here,
Our very,
Very limited time here on Earth,
Wouldn't you want to feel it all?
Wouldn't you want to feel every emotion?
The full array of emotions a human experience has to offer.
The nervous,
The happy.
The sad,
The angry,
The gratitude.
As you ponder this.
And maybe even just for today.
Hey.
Would you invite yourself to feel the full spectrum of everything we are meant to do?
Without judgement.
Allow and invite all sensations.
Oceans,
Releases,
Discoveries.
The just being.
Begin with a reminder that you are safe.
You have nowhere to be.
This is your time to unwind,
To go inward,
To reset yourself for the week ahead.
I'm your guide.
All you need to do is stay in the body.
Listen to my voice.
And drop in.
At any point,
You may return to natural breath.
You may pause,
You may journal,
And you're invited to release all emotions.
I'm going to start with a breath practice.
Just doing some box breathing.
We're going to inhale through the nose,
Hold,
Exhale,
And then empty.
And I will guide that process.
Everyone emptying their breath.
And beginning inhaling through the nose for a count of two,
Three,
Four.
And holding for two Three.
Four.
I'm releasing through the mouth.
For two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
And holding on empty for two,
Three,
Four.
Or I'm breathing in through the nose.
And holding.
And releasing through the mouth.
Annnnd.
.
.
Breathing in.
And holding.
And releasing through the mouth.
And holding.
Breathing in through the nose.
And holding.
Breathing out through the mouth.
And holding.
Allowing your natural breath just to return.
And just noticing the ground beneath you.
Letting your whole body land.
Nowhere to be.
Nothing to fix.
Just here.
Noticing what you notice.
Breathing how you breathe.
Breathing in,
Slow and full.
Letting it leave you long and that's great.
You are a whole symphony.
Whole symphony of human beings.
Opposing forces of light and shadow.
Courage and fear.
The soft notes and the loud ones.
Every part of you has played a role.
Every feeling has had its purpose.
Even the parts you've been at war with.
Especially those parts.
You acknowledge compensation.
Of contrasting notes in harmony.
The warrior within you wielding a sword,
Clashing,
Fighting,
Fighting ourselves,
The anger,
The darkness.
You capable of waging wars.
The you that catches you off guard.
And catches you by surprise.
This warrior is your inner gremlin,
Shaped from fears,
Past experiences,
And societal judgments.
This is a part of you.
Has been fighting to protect you.
The warrior.
Beyond that,
There's light.
The composition of contrast.
The airy,
The flowy,
The feminine.
The you that comes in when you play.
When you ask for help.
When we breathe deep in these moments.
This is the light that can withstand a storm.
Light that sees the warrior,
The gremlin at war.
And his weeping and unconditional love.
Light that comes alive when you rest.
And you let your shoulders drop.
The one that feels like sun and does not ask what it will cost.
This is the part of you you can hold more,
Not by force,
But by softening.
The light is not afraid of the warrior.
It sees the warrior swinging,
Bracing.
It wraps around the warrior the way you would hold a frightened child.
And whispers,
I have got you now.
You can put the sword down.
We are safe.
Let me take you somewhere.
I want you to picture a field in your mind with no fences and no edges.
Birds in a low golden light.
You're walking through the fields.
The earth is soft beneath you.
The area is easy and there is so much room here.
More than you are used to.
It's a space where you'll never be asked to shrink.
You keep walking through this field step by step.
Feeling the sun on your skin and the warmth.
Exposing the warrior.
Feel the ground meet each foot.
And actually invite the warrior to walk with you.
To walk beside you.
We are not leaving the warrior behind.
We are taking its hand.
And understanding the warrior is us.
The part of us that can catch us off guard and can be such a fighter.
Taken in hand by the softest version of you that knows and trusts and can be.
When you take its hand.
Notice how small it is.
Notice how tired it is.
The warrior is not separate from you.
We do not leave her behind because she is you.
We bring her to safety.
Allow her to be part of us.
Exposing all parts,
The good,
The bad,
Without judgment,
Understanding every piece of us,
Every part of us,
Every emotion of us.
Deserves to be here and deserves to be felt and seen and loved.
Let it walk with you into this light.
Let the warrior walk with you and maybe for the first time feels what it feels like to put down her sword.
But no longer need to fight.
And I invite you to hold them both.
Hold the warrior and the light.
The one that fought and the one that softened.
They are both you.
They are both welcome.
And they each deserve the same tenderness you would give a child who is only ever trying to be loved.
Dear Juan,
In case no one has ever told you this.
.
.
You're a lab.
Who are allowed to receive.
You are allowed to soften.
You are allowed to be paid well for your gifts.
You are allowed to rest before you've earned it.
You're allowed to have a good week and another and another.
And you're also allowed to let life be ordinary.
Or extraordinary.
You get to decide.
They want you to vision that warrior putting down her sword and the lightest,
Softest version of you hugging her in the embrace.
And saying you are allowed to stop racing.
You are allowed to stop waiting.
We are safe now.
And as I give you that permission to feel and be.
In the loud.
I ask you to gently give this to yourself.
Your own permission slip.
Give yourself permission to let the good be safe.
Permission to hold more without flinching.
Permission to let success be quiet.
And study.
And fully yours.
Permission to be human and feel and to not have it all together.
And to unfold parts of you that were hushed and hidden and told to stay small.
Permission to stop abandoning yourself the moment life finally settles.
And dear one,
There is nothing wrong with you.
Feel the warrior finally resting.
Feel the light ready to receive.
Every breath you have ever taken,
Every season,
Every storm.
Every moment,
Every fight,
Every glimmer of hope.
I've carried you right here.
To this very moment.
To this very room.
To have a capacity.
To this version of you who is learning.
That she is safe to hold,
Be,
And have it all.
Without having it figured out.
You can stay here as long as you need.
Or a dear one.
Last thing I want you to remember.
Is you have permission to feel.
Permission to stand in the sobering realization.
That your warrior was created only to protect who you are.
And there's nothing wrong with you.
You are awakening.
Bringing attention back to your breath.
While you remember every moment and every breath and every experience contributes to this beautiful human experience that we get to be a part of.
Maybe wiggling your fingers.
Wiggling your toes.
Let your breath deepen.
Your tongue move in your mouth.
And as you're ready,
You can soften back into the room around you.
Knowing that today is meditation.
Has been finished.
