Welcome.
My name is Julia and I'll be leading you through a guided meditation to connect with your creative side.
Most of us live very busy lives,
So it's important to carve out some time to connect with your inner creativity.
Because creativity opens the mind,
Relieves stress,
And it helps us to feel more confident.
So let's get settled in for this meditation.
Make sure you're sitting tall and upright.
Spine is long.
Shoulders are relaxed.
Rest your hands in your lap.
And once you've gotten settled.
Gently close your eyes.
Now let's take a few deep,
Relaxing breaths.
Breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the mouth.
Breathing in deeply.
And breathing out slowly.
And with every exhale.
Imagine you're letting go of all stress and all tension that has been pent up inside of you.
With each breath,
This tension is dissolving,
Making space for new and exciting thoughts that will help you tap into your most creative side.
Continue the cycle of deep breathing.
And as you breathe,
You can repeat the following words as you exhale.
I relax.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
I relax.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
I relax.
Now.
Allow your breath to settle.
Simply breathe naturally.
And imagine that you are walking along a beautiful road.
Towards creativity.
So as you enter the door,
Of your place of creativity.
Look around you.
What do you see?
Is this sanctuary indoors or is it outdoors?
What objects can you see here?
Is there nature around you?
Do you see any animals?
And go ahead and notice all the colors of your surroundings.
Notice the textures.
Notice all the little details.
And let's go to the senses.
Notice the temperature in the air.
What's the weather like?
Is it sunshine?
Is it a nice,
Relaxing,
Rainy day?
Are there any sounds of water,
Birds,
Wind,
Or maybe even the ocean?
Or maybe it's completely silent.
So just allow yourself to feel the peace of being in this magnificent creative sanctuary of yours.
And now in your peaceful place.
Find somewhere to sit down comfortably.
And as you do,
Take your time to find the answers to the following questions.
What does creativity mean to you?
Where do you find your inspiration?
What creative work do you most enjoy doing?
And when do you feel most creative?
And what steps do you take to get there?
Now think about what you want to communicate to the people who see your creative work.
What cultivates brightness,
Joy,
And light in your day.
What's something that you'd like to improve in your creative life?
Take a moment to reflect upon these questions.
Even after you finish this practice.
And as you go about your day.
Try thinking of one thing that you can do in your life today or tomorrow.
That would allow you to express your creativity.
So maybe rearranging your furniture in a way that makes your environment a little more creative,
Or finding clothes in your wardrobe that would allow you to express yourself in a unique and exciting way.
Continue to look for ways,
No matter how big or small,
To express yourself creatively and differently.
Don't forget to check in with yourself,
Remembering to ask yourself.
What kinds of things do I love doing?
What is fun for me?
What are my passions and how can I incorporate them into my day-to-day life?
Try not to limit yourself.
Be open to all kinds of possibilities that arise in your mind.
And as this practice comes to an end,
Begin to gently return to your body.
Return to your surroundings.
Wiggle your toes and your fingers.
Move your head from side to side.
Feeling refreshed and creative.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
You are now ready to embark upon.
Your own unique creative.
Pain.
