Hello and welcome to another short from The Female Stoic.
Today I wanted to talk about what to do when you feel battle-weary.
When you are exhausted,
Beaten down by life.
As Stoics we understand the most powerful blessings cannot be borne by the untested.
The blessings do not come until we are strong enough to be able to support them.
The fire comes first not to burn us but to Refine us.
So how do we manage that in the meantime?
When everything goes wrong,
It's natural to feel abandoned.
To feel forsaken.
This is the precise moment we are called upon to tap into our higher self.
Charlotte Bronte's life was deeply marred by one tragic loss after the other.
Indeed,
She was the only surviving sibling of six children.
But Charlotte Bronte sought solace in her pen.
My message today is to find that place that you seek solace and protect it inside your inner citadel I say kiss.
More precious than the largest diamond or the shiniest gold.
We have the power,
The control over that moment we use when we are challenged beyond what we think we can cope with.
We must call upon our inner self,
Our higher self,
At that moment.
In order to survive.
