Welcome to this Yoga Nidra brought to you by Soul Matters Ireland for your soul as we send out our love for you to receive from our hearts to yours.

Yoga Nidra is a practice of self love and a radical act to be present in your being as you connect with your soul and all the souls who have chosen to practice today.

As you take this time to be as you connect with the deep essence of your being and remember your soul,

Remember who you are.

We invite you now to find somewhere comfortable to lie down as you gather everything you need to ensure your optimum comfort for your practice.

We call this your Nidra Nest.

As you place a pillow beneath your knees,

Under your head,

A blanket to cover your body and an eye mask to ensure you go into a deep state of nurturing rest.

So once you've gathered everything you need,

Ensure that you're as comfortable as can be as it is recommended if possible to stay still for the practice of Yoga Nidra.

However,

Remember this is your practice so whatever is right for you is ultimately what's important.

So once you feel you are as comfortable as possible,

We invite you to close your eyes and take a couple of nurturing breaths.

Breathing deep into your belly and out through your mouth with a long sigh.

A few breaths like this,

Affectionate breathing into your belly as you feel it rising with your in-breath and falling with your out-breath.

As you sink deeper into the surface beneath you with each out-breath and allow your body to soften further.

Then whenever it feels right for you,

Bring your breath back to its natural rhythm.

The natural ebb and flow of your breath in your body.

And this is where we begin the practice of Yoga Nidra.

As your Sankalpa,

Your intention for your practice arrives for you to repeat three times now.

Continue working with whatever Sankalpa you have if that feels right for you or if you would like to use a new Sankalpa.

You could use something like,

I am love or I am worthy of rest.

You will know when your Sankalpa has arrived as it will land in your heart.

So once you have repeated it three times,

Release it as we journey through a body scan.

As you bring your awareness to your heart centre.

Then to your brow centre.

To your right temple.

Your right cheek.

Your right shoulder.

The right side of your chest.

Your right upper thigh.

Your right ankle.

Feel the whole right side of your body.

Move to your left ankle.

Your left upper thigh.

The left side of your chest.

Your left shoulder.

Your left cheek.

Your left temple.

And to your mid brain space between your ears.

Feel the whole left side.

Feel the whole body.

Your whole body breathing and connecting to the gravitational pull of the earth beneath you.

Your whole body rested and centred on the surface beneath you.

As you bring awareness to your body receiving the breath.

The sensation of receiving breath into your body.

Allowing yourself receive.

The feeling of receiving.

As you breathe out,

Bring the sensation of giving your breath to the air around you.

Giving your breath to the environment,

To the planet.

The balance of your breath.

The receiving,

The giving.

As you breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.

The natural life force energy of your breath.

Bringing balance back into your body.

As you breathe into your heart centre.

Your heart chakra.

Imagining a grounding green colour.

Enveloping your physical heart.

And connecting you to the earth frequency.

As you breathe out.

Imagine a pink spiritual love frequency.

Radiating out from your heart.

And wrapping around your whole being.

The magnetic and dynamic qualities of love.

Green for the physical.

And pink for the spiritual.

Balancing the giving and receiving of love.

You are a spiritual being.

Having a human experience.

And as part of that experience.

You can open your heart to receive love from the earth.

As you give your unique individual presence to the planet.

All of you is needed.

All of you is welcome.

All of you is magnetic.

All of you is dynamic.

The heart of the earth connecting with your heart.

Imagining the warm welcoming heartbeat.

Of the earth pulsing with your heartbeat.

As you see a beautiful radiant figure emerge.

From the heart of the earth.

This radiant figure comes before you.

And stands in front of you.

As you become mesmerized by their essence.

The energy emanating from them.

As you see the pulse of their heartbeat.

Through the radiance of their being.

You sense your beating heart.

Connecting with their beating heart.

As you drift into a deep state of relaxation.

Where I will leave you for a while.

To rest in tranquility.

As my voice drifts away.

And I will come and retrieve you in a few minutes.

As my voice drifts back into your awareness.

And you come back from your deep relaxation.

And land back into your body.

Lying in your nidra nest.

As your sankalpa arrives once more.

For you to repeat three times now.

And this is where the practice of yoga nidra ends.

As you bring some gentle movement back to your body.

Stretching,

Twisting,

Wriggling,

Flexing.

Whatever feels right for you.

And the tender vessel of your body.

Slowly coming back.

And taking a few deep breaths.

To connect you with your belly and heart.

As you place a hand on your belly.

And another on your heart.

And connect to your essence.

Remember your soul.

And remember the beauty of who you are.

You are loved exactly as you are.

Thank you so much for your presence here today.

It has been such an honour to journey with you.

From our hearts to yours.
