Welcome to this morning meditation.
A gentle start to your day,
A moment to centre yourself and set the tone for the hours ahead.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs completely,
And exhale slowly.
Let this practice guide you toward a mindset of calm and ease.
Reminding you that you can move through the day's tasks one step at a time.
There is no need to take it in all at once.
Let's begin by bringing awareness to your body.
Feel the surface beneath you,
Steady and supportive.
Allow yourself to rest here,
Fully present in this moment.
Relax your shoulders,
Unclench your jaw,
And soften your hands.
As you breathe deeply,
Imagine each inhale grounding you further,
And each exhale releasing any tension or mental noise lingering from yesterday.
Now,
Gently bring to mind the day ahead.
Instead of picturing it as one overwhelming stretch of tasks,
Imagine it as a pathway.
See each task as a small stepping stone,
Laid out before you.
You only need to step onto one stone at a time.
Take a moment to remind yourself that you have the ability to pace yourself.
Trust that you'll handle each task in its own time.
Let's begin an affirmation for calm.
Repeat silently or aloud,
I do not need to conquer the day all at once.
I trust myself to take one step at a time.
I am calm,
Capable,
And steady.
Let these words settle in your mind and body,
Creating a foundation of confidence and ease for your day.
If you notice any thoughts of urgency or pressure creeping in,
Gently acknowledge them.
These thoughts are natural but not definitive.
Imagine placing them on a leaf and watching them float down a stream.
You are not defined by your to-do list.
Your worth is not tied to how much you accomplished today.
As we come to the end of this practice,
Take a deep breath in,
Drawing in a sense of clarity and calm.
Exhale slowly,
Releasing any lingering tension or doubt.
Know that you can return to this space of mindfulness and balance whenever you need it throughout the day.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and take this sense of ease with you into the day ahead.
Remember,
You are capable of achieving what needs to be done without overwhelm,
One small step at a time.
