Welcome.
This is a short meditation for moments when the emotions may feel overwhelming,
When thoughts may be racing,
When something may feel too heavy to hold,
When the story just keeps looping over and over and it seems like there's no way out of it.
Wherever you are,
Whatever this moment is for you,
Whether you're walking,
Driving,
Sitting on a couch,
Sitting in your chair,
At your job,
Whatever this is for you,
This is a safe meditation where you don't have to close your eyes,
You just get to check in with you and briefly take a pause from the feelings,
From the environment,
From whatever it is and just be for a moment wherever you are and take a slow breath in through your nose and gently exhaling through your mouth again inhale and exhale now bring your attention as you continue breathing to your body in through your nose and out of your mouth and in through your mouth notice where you feel the tension or the emotion or whatever is connected to what you're experiencing right now you don't need to fix it,
You don't need to change it,
You do not need to try to bypass it you're just simply observing it,
Witnessing it,
Letting it be and noticing where it lives or where it's sitting or where it's visiting in your body perhaps it's in your chest perhaps your hands are clenched or maybe your toes are clenching like claws maybe your vision is blurred maybe it's in your head,
Your stomach,
Perhaps your throat wherever this is,
Let your breath move into that space and inhale and breathe into it exhaling and softening now gently gently repeat to yourself as you breathe slowly or aloud this too shall pass and take a breath and exhale exhaling this too shall pass again inhaling and exhaling this too shall pass exhale this too shall pass you're not required to rush healing as you continue breathing you're not required to push this moment or these things away or to get over them all things in life move within their natural rhythm storms pass,
Waves rise and fall the tides go in and back out again and the body naturally returns to balance take another slow breath this too shall pass and allow your shoulders to soften allow your jaw to relax allow your hands to unclench allow your breath to deepen naturally one more breath and again quietly remind yourself this too shall pass and whenever life feels overwhelming you can return to this breath to this moment to this truth take one final inhale and gently exhale
