Explore MeditationSJ is a passionate mental health facilitator and coach on a mission to teach essential psychological and evidence-based tools to help people not only survive but to thrive in daily life. SJ has over 15 years experience working in the field of healthcare, policy development, evidence-based decision making and more recently in healthcare emergency preparedness and response. Merging her love of nature and her passion to improve the mental health of the wider population she launched a mental health platform called 'SISU Psyche'. SISU is a unique Finnish concept meaning having the 'strength of will, determination, perseverance and courage to act in the face of adversity'. Through teachings and courses SJ and other collaborators, through the SISU Psyche platform, blend modern psychological tools and frameworks such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Third Wave Cognitive Behaviour Therapies and Internal Family Systems (IFS) with more traditional yet evidence-based practices such as Meditation, Breathwork and Yoga Nidra. Through guided practices and courses, SJ seeks to empower individuals with tools to navigate life’s challenges, deepen their self-awareness, and foster inner resilience to positively enhance their mental health and wellbeing for life.
