Welcome and Namaste.
I'm so glad you're here.
Before you go to bed tonight,
Just try this 5-minute bedtime gratitude meditation with me.
Go ahead and get comfortable.
Take a few moments to close your eyes and slowly take a deep breath in and let a long breath out.
During the course of a busy day,
We often forget to breathe.
We will take this moment to pay more attention to our breath and just observe the inhales and the exhales.
No forcing,
No judging,
Just observing.
Observe how with every inhale,
Your belly is gently moving out and how with every exhale,
Your belly is going in.
With every inhale,
We are filling up our body with positive energy and with every exhale,
We are releasing any stress or tension that the body may be holding.
Now slowly let's look back at your day.
We aren't looking for anything big or perfect.
Just think of one small moment from today that felt nice.
Maybe it's a warm cup of tea,
A smile from a friend,
A lovely dish you had or even just a quiet moment of sitting down.
Think of that one thing right now.
See it in your mind and as you breathe,
Just say a soft thank you for that one moment.
It was enough.
Now let's thank your body.
It worked hard for you all day,
It carried you,
It helped you talk,
It helped you move.
Your body has done its job for today and now it's time for it to rest.
Just feel how good it feels to finally be still.
If there are any worries or to-do lists still in your head,
That's okay.
Imagine you're putting them in a box and sliding that box under the bed.
They will still be there tomorrow but for tonight you don't need to touch them.
You did your best today and your best was enough.
Let go of the day,
It's over now.
Take one last deep breath and as you exhale,
Feel your whole body go soft.
You are safe,
You are at peace.
Sleep well.
Namaste.
