Om Mani Padme Hum Sound Transmission
by Paul Temple
Om Mani Padme Hum Sound Transmission with Paul Temple. Om Mani Padme Hum is a Sanskrit mantra primarily associated with Avalokiteśvara, the Bodhisattva of compassion, and is considered the condensed form of all Buddhist teachings. Literally translated as "praise to the jewel in the lotus" or "the jewel is in the lotus," the mantra symbolizes the union of method (compassion) and wisdom required to transform impure body, speech, and mind into the pure exalted state of a Buddha. Om: Represents the universal sound and purifies the body and pride. Mani (composed of Ma and Ni): Means "jewel," symbolizing compassion and love, while dissolving jealousy and desire. Padme (composed of Pad and Me): Means "lotus," representing wisdom and spiritual growth, dissolving prejudice and possessiveness. Hum: Signifies enlightenment and indivisibility, purifying aggression and hatred.
