Jizo Shingon Dharani| 地蔵 | Zen Chant For Babies & Travellers

Jizo Bodhisattva vows to be with all sentient beings, bringing them benefit until all suffering beings attain enlightenment. He protects women, children, and travelers, and especially helps children who die young to navigate the boundary between life and death. In Japanese Zen temples, memorial services are held to alleviate the grief of women who have lost a baby during pregnancy or childbirth. For this chant, I composed a soft and comforting harmony with a lullaby theme reminiscent of twinkling stars and mobiles.
