Hello and welcome to Self Care Saturdays,
A time dedicated to nurturing your inner being.
Today we'll focus on cultivating gratitude for yourself through a soothing mantra meditation.
Allow this practice to gently guide you into a state of deep appreciation for who you are,
Settle into a comfortable position,
Close your eyes and prepare to embark on a journey of self love and gratitude.
Take a deep breath in,
Feeling the air fill your lungs and then slowly exhale,
Releasing any tension.
Begin to bring your awareness inwards,
Letting go of the outside world.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
Allow your mind to settle.
Focus on the word gratitude and let it become your anchor.
With each inhale,
Silently say,
I am grateful.
And with each exhale,
Release any negativity.
This simple mantra will guide you through this meditation,
Helping you to cultivate a deep sense of appreciation for yourself.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
Allow the mantra,
I am grateful,
To flow effortlessly with each breath.
And on the exhale,
Let go of any self doubt or criticism.
The power of these words resonating within you,
Creating a space of warmth and acceptance.
Bring to mind a recent achievement or personal quality that you are proud of.
It could be something small or something significant,
Something that brings you joy.
As you focus on this thought,
Allow the feeling of gratitude to expand within you.
Picture this gratitude as a warm golden light that fills your heart,
Radiating outwards and enveloping the entire being.
You are worthy of this gratitude,
Just as you are.
Continue to repeat your mantra,
I am grateful,
Allowing the golden light to grow stronger with each repetition.
Imagine this light travelling through your body,
Touching every cell,
Every muscle and every bone.
As it moves,
It brings with it a deep sense of appreciation for all that you are.
Your strength,
Your kindness,
Your resilience.
Let this gratitude fill you up completely.
And if any negative thoughts arise,
Acknowledge them without judgement and gently return your focus to the mantra,
I am grateful.
Each time you repeat this,
You are reinforcing a deep connection to self love and acceptance.
Teaching yourself to see the beauty and worthiness within you,
To honour your journey and to be kind to yourself.
Now take a moment to extend this gratitude beyond your recent achievements.
Reflect on the challenges you've faced and the growth that's come from them.
Even in difficult times,
There's room for gratitude,
For lessons learned,
For the strength gained,
For the person you've become.
Let this gratitude fill you with a profound sense of peace and understanding.
And as the golden light of gratitude continues to flow through you,
Imagine it now surrounding you like a protective shield.
This shield is your reminder that you're worthy of love,
Of kindness and of all the good things that life has to offer.
You are enough just as you are.
Now return to your mantra,
One,
And then exhale,
Releasing any remaining tension.
Allow yourself to rest in this space of gratitude for a few more moments,
Feeling the warmth of the golden light,
The peace within your heart and the deep appreciation for yourself that you've cultivated today.
Now gently begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Feel the rise and fall of your chest as you inhale and exhale.
Slowly start to move your fingers and toes,
Bringing a sense of movement back into your body.
And when you feel ready,
Open your eyes,
Taking in the space around you.
And know that the gratitude you've cultivated during this meditation is always within you,
Ready to be accessed whenever you need it.
Carry this feeling of self-appreciation with you throughout the day and let it be a reminder of your worth and the love you deserve.
Thank you for joining today's self-care Saturday meditation.
Remember,
Taking time to nurture yourself is an act of love and gratitude.
May you continue to carry this sense of appreciation for yourself as you move forwards.
And until we meet again,
Be kind to yourself and know that you're always worthy of your own love.
