You Are Enough: Ending Low Self-Esteem And Insecurity

With Lindsey Elliott

This is not a course with more techniques to ‘overcome’ not feeling good enough or worthy. This course aims to end the need for more self-help or self-improvement. Here some of the topics we will cover: • How feeling not good enough begins • The role of the brain in self-esteem and feeling insecure • Conditioning and other influences of our self-esteem • How our own thinking is the ‘real’ and only issue • Why looking outside of ourselves for security never works • How to deal with what other people think of you and people pleasing • How all the confidence doesn’t have to be built or strengthened • How we already have all the self-esteem we could ever need This is a short course but my wish for you is that it starts you on the journey to a very real and long-lasting transformation of you feel about yourself, and what you believe you can achieve. So that you can experience a life of feeling good about yourself, sure of your choices and comfortable in your own skin.

Really useful. Will use these strategies as you put into words what I’ve been thinking. Love the red light analogy.

Nice confirmation that we are not our thoughts, with multiple prompts to ask yourself, “What if this thought isn’t true?” Basic info that is repeated multiple times, but it’s somewhat necessary for it to be repetitive since our own thoughts have been on repeat for years and will require repetition of this positive way of looking at things in order to sink in. Heads up to those who may get distracted by background noise, there’s a plastic-y clinking sound that took me 5-10 minutes to figure out was coming from this course (very prominent in the third lesson and a bit in the fourth). Sounds like a super loose bracelet or maybe a kiddo or dog playing with a toy? I noticed in another course that when people gave other listeners a heads up on distracting background noise, it helped me be prepared for and accept it.

This is a wonderfully succinct description of this typical human process. The metaphors of the cup, cork, and backseat driver are really helpful. Thank you! Do you have another course or meditation to practice not taking our thoughts so seriously?
